Fans who have been wishing to see Archie (K.J. Apa), Betty (Lili Reinhart), Veronica (Camila Mendes) and Jughead (Cole Sprouse) in a full horror drama have finally come true. "Riverdale" Season 6 will turn into supernatural horror, featuring Sabrina (Kiernan Shipka) from "Chilling Adventures of Sabrina."

"Riverdale" Season 6 will finally drop on Tuesday, Nov. 16, with a five-episode special, called "Rivervale." Things will be weirder in the small town and Jughead will be playing a narrator, someone who is like from "Twilight Zone."

Showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa revealed that when The CW asked them if they wanted to do a five-part horror event, they quickly said yes, TVLine noted. He said the writers "love horror and horror movies" and they even injected some of it to the show, though it was often about "crime, suspense and pulpy stuff."

As the writers thought of a new concept for the series, they recalled the things they had not done yet and people's often request. From here, they came with the idea of making a supernatural or overt horror.

So, fans can expect "Riverdale" Season 6 to have an "eerie and unsettling tone" that they have never seen before. Each of the five episodes will honor different horror subgenres.

However, Aguirre-Sacasa added there would be an "overarching narrative" to the five episodes. Episode 1 would have folk-horror theme, while Episode 2 would be about ghost stories, and Episode 3 would feature a devil coming to Rivervale.

To make the new season extra special, it will introduce Sabrina in Episode 4. Aguirre-Sacasa gushed that Shipka is amazing on the show and her coming would be like a "Cheryl/Madelaine [Petsch]-episode."

He continued that the cast had "amazing rapport" and everything felt natural. After years of waiting for the show to feature a horror theme, everything was worth it. "Why didn't we do this sooner?" he said.

Meanwhile, in the premiere episode, titled "Welcome to Rivervale," something will be different in the town of Riverdale, per Netflix Life. It changed its name overnight, which made it eerier.

Riverdale has changed throughout the four seasons, following Archie and his group's graduation. Despite that, though, its people are determined to get it back on track.

With that said, many question as to why it has to change its name. It looks like "Riverdale" Season 6 Episode 1 has a lot of things to answer when it drops on today on The CW.
