Starz finally revealed when fans would see "Outlander" Season 6, so fans could expect the franchise to drop little teasers here and there. As the hype now grows, the network gives a full glimpse of Richard Rankin's character as Roger.
It looks like Roger has a major part to play in "Outlander" Season 6. He is now ready to stick things out at Fraser's Ridge after experiencing the past trauma and find his place in this new world.
Roger has a "very different era" for himself, CarterMatt noted. He has his own knowledge of history and is most aware of every future event in the 18th century than anyone.
He can use these things to the Fraser family's advantage and make their way to the Revolutionary War. Though Roger is not the character for a big fight, his mind is enough as a huge weapon.
All he needs to do is to hold his own and though he is an underdog, many will appreciate him in "Outlander" Season 6. Sure, this season only has eight episodes, but fans can expect to see him in most of it.
Meanwhile, fans want to see what will happen next to the Fraser family after the Season 5's major cliffhanging finale. More troubles will come to Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Jamie (Sam Heughan) as the Revolutionary War heats up.
Starz president and CEO Chris Albrecht said in a statement, via Us Weekly, that Claire and Jamie would be facing new challenges, problems and adventures in the new season. The series is about to delve into American history and continue how the Frasers will settle in the New World.
Heughan, on the other hand, confirmed the new season's storyline would continue to get darker. This will be when the Fraser couple will witness the fall of the community they worked hard to build at Fraser's Ridge.
Claire will also suffer intense trauma after what happened to her in the previous season finale and Jamie will be very much aware of it. He will keep an eye on her and these cracks seem only to show one thing-the war is coming.
With that said, there will be new characters coming, like the Christies who will arrive at the Ridge. Fans are about to see all these and more when "Outlander" Season 6 hits the small screen with a special extended episode on Starz on Sunday, Mar. 6.
