Kate Middleton will soon mark a special milestone in her life. She will turn 40 years old in January 2022, and the public seemingly expects to witness a celebration.

Despite not being one to make a fuss on her own birthday, Prince William reportedly wants to treat his wife on her day. Sources told New Idea that he plans to take the Duchess of Cambridge, alongside their three children, to New York City.

While she had allegedly "lamented" about not being able to enjoy enough time in the Big Apple, she was not "over the moon" upon hearing her husband's surprise trip. As reported, her reaction was "one of anxiety," adding that it got her into tears.

Insiders claimed that her main concern revolve around Meghan Markle. Kate Middleton is reportedly worrying over running into her sister-in-law, as well as the former actress's "cronies."

As explained, Prince William intends to book a suite in Carlyle Hotel, where he and his wife stayed during their previous royal trip to the city. However, it is said to be the Sussex couple's "favorite haunt," as well, when visiting from California. In addition to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, the "Suits" alum's best friends are, also, regulars at the hotel.

Accordingly, the Duchess of Cambridge allegedly worries that she may run into them, "which would totally ruin things" for her birthday celebration. Although she feels "silly" about the paranoia, the sources claimed that the past year has taken a toll on her due to Markle's "strange attacks on her."

Despite the accusations, Kate Middleton, alongside the British Royal Family, has yet to announce her plans for her birthday. It remains unclear how she will celebrate her 40th birthday in January.

No one can confirm, as well, whether the reports are fact-based. Hence, the assertions seemingly appear to be mere speculations.

But, looking at the birthday celebrations she had in the past, the future Queen Consort appears to be fond of low-key and private engagements for her special day. In 2020, she spent her 39th birthday with a tea party in their country home in Norfolk.

People said that Prince William treated his wife with a "memorable" tea party, along with Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. They had it in Anmer Hall, where they spent the lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The year prior, Kate Middleton entertained her and her husband's circle to mark her 38th birthday. She, also, did similar moves in her previous celebrations, according to Good To Know.
