Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton have yet to have their own child. But, even so, the country singer is now officially a "bonus dad" to his now-wife's three sons.

The couple seemingly maintains their silence about welcoming a new addition to their family. Despite this, rumors continue to circulate, insisting that they will soon have a baby.

The National Enquirer even recently predicted that the pair, who tied the knot in July, will announce their adoption anytime soon. It suggests that Stefani and Shelton will adopt a "baby boy from overseas."

As previously pointed out, the two judges of "The Voice" have never talked about having their own baby before the public. So, it remains uncertain whether the predictions will, indeed, become a reality sometime in 2022.

Amid the speculations, though, it appears that this is not the first time the public discussed the future of Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton, in terms of welcoming a new member of their family.

As early as 2017, there were already numerous reports, alleging that the pair were planning to adopt as the "Cool" singer wanted a kid before the conclusion of the said year. A story from InTouch Weekly insisted that Stefani had the whole adoption process planned out, according to Hollywood Life.

The same stories, also, emerged from other tabloids and magazines in the following years. But, no baby has since been introduced by Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton.

In 2019, Gossip Cop ultimately dismissed the rumors, emphasizing its previous repeated efforts to bust the narrative. It noted that it never happened and it would not at the time of its publishing.

The reputed publication, also, recalled reaching out to the "4 In The Morning" singer's official spokesperson. They learned that the pair had no plans to adopt, with the reps saying it on record.

Despite quashing the speculations, the story has continued to evolve over the years. Even so, Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton remain tight-lipped about the matter, and have not expressed any interest in adoption before their audience.

Stefani and Shelton began their romance in 2015. Earlier that year, both of the artists had ended their respective marriages to Miranda Lambert and Gavin Rossdale.

They, then, made their first red carpet appearance in 2016. After making music, as well as the headlines, together over the years, they announced their engagement in 2020, and eventually tied the knot in July 2021.
