Rumors about BLACKPINK's comeback this year are making a wild noise. In fact, an investment researcher believes this is about to happen and will help inrease YG Entertainment's stock price.

In addition to BLACKPINK, there are claims all the artists under YG will continue their activities this year and this will yield good results. Shinhan Investment Researcher Ji In Hae believes the target price for the company will increase to 89,000 KRW or $74 and will have a buy investment opinion.

On Feb. 25, the stock price for the label closed at 64,800 KRW or $54. Despite that, though, Ji believed it would continue to achieve high earnings growth with the upcoming full operation of its stars.

It has been known that Big Bang will make a return this year as a four-member group, AllKpop noted. Though they have been away from the limelight for years, they are still considered an important flagship group for YG's contribution to sales.

With that being said, there may be more activities centered in Japan, knowing it can exert the greatest influence compared to Korea. Besides Big Bang, BLACKPINK will also return after this summer.

Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé and Lisa are, reportedly, originally set to make a comeback in the fourth quarter of 2021, but it was delayed until they could do a global tour. In addition to these two big K-Pop groups, iKON and TREASURE will also start their respective activities, along with the introduction of a new girl group.

So, YG may generate revenue of 491.5 billion KRW or $408 million and an operating profit of 70.7 billion KRW or $58.5 million on a consolidated basis this year. Compared to 2021, its sales may increase by 38.2%, while its operating profit by 39.9%.

Meanwhile, fans have been demanding BLACKPINK's comeback for a time now, per Meaww. YG's plans for its artists' return suggest the all-girl group may come back in May.

Despite the girls' big success, fans are surprised to see that they have only released 21 songs since debuting in 2016. Their last release is "Lovesick Girls" in October 2021.

With the limited song release, fans are now worrying about the future of the global hitmakers. They, too, wonder how they manage to survive and remain as successful as they all are despite having a small discography in their six years in the business. Fortunately, in no time, BLACKPINK will finally be active again.
