Fans are still waiting for "One Punch Man" Season 3, almost three years since the second season ended. So, is there hope for a new season?
Though there are claims MAPPA will be animating "One Punch Man" Season 3, nothing is confirmed yet. In fact, many want to see the new season being handled by a new studio after J.C. Staff failed to impress fans.
Madhouse received heaps of praise after successfully making the anime's first season that fans loved. However, the second season received poor ratings due to its not-so-good animation, though fans still watched it to continue what they had started.
It couldn't be denied that the second season features a number of interesting revelations, making them more excited for the coming of the third season. So, will it happen?
There's no confirmation yet if there will be "One Punch Man" Season 3. But if it does happen, it may feature the war between the heroes and the monsters, Recent Highlights noted.
It will also delve into the character building of Garou to become like Saitama. With the increase of demon-level threats, the hero association now has a hard time coping with it.
Heroes are being outnumbered and the monsters have a new king. He is bigger and far stronger than the other monsters and Saitama himself may not match his power.
So in the third season, the Hero Association may launch a major "sting operation" against the monsters and gather all the S-Class heroes. Hence, it will be based on the manga's Hero association vs. Monster association, in which Saitama has to face a number of enemies.
Meanwhile, fans wanted "One Punch Man" Season 3 to be handled by a new studio after many complained about the second season's animation by J.C. Staff, per Comicbook. One fan said his personal preference was Studio Bones, which was also responsible for animating "Mob Psycho 100."
The studio is said to know and love ONE's works, so it may work well with the author, knowing they are technically creative. It can also do amazing action works with crisp choreography that many commend well.
Another netizen agreed and explained it might be cool if Studio Bones would do the series' third season after working on "Mob Psycho 100" final season. Taking on the story of the most powerful being with ONE would be "fully circle."
So, by the looks of it, many will celebrate if Studio Bones will be the new studio of "One Punch Man" Season 3. There are no words yet on when the new season will be out, but fans hope it will happen soon.
