Son Ye Jin and Hyun Bin announced their engagement in February. Since then, few details about their nuptials are emerging, from the wedding venue to the guests.
AllKpop noted the 40-year-old actress' mother bought wedding gifts worth 12 million KRW or $9,907. Hence, many expect the wedding itself to be worth billions of KRW or hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Multiple reports claimed the couple would get married at the Aston House in the Grand Walkerhill Hotel in Gwangjang-dong, Gwangjin-gu, Seoul. This place is considered to be the finest wedding venue there is.
It has an independent garden near Mt. Acha. It's located afar from the main building of the hotel so that it can hide the event away from the public's eye. It also comes with an advantage, knowing they can freely use its time and space as only one ceremony can be held once a day.
Of course, Son Ye Jin and Hyun Bin will also hold a reception after the ceremony, giving them more time to celebrate with their guests. Talking about guests, only close friends and family members are said to be invited to the wedding.
This will include the VIPs, like the former soccer player Lee Dong Guk, who received his invitation, per Manila Bulletin. Lee Min-jung, Gong Hyo Jin, Uhm Ji Won and Oh Yoon Ah are also expected to be there.
There are also reports Jang Don Gun will deliver a congratulatory speech for the two. However, wedding guests are said to be asked to keep the wedding's confidentiality when they receive their invitations.
Meanwhile, before the wedding took place, Son Ye Jin's agency, MS Team Entertainment, announced it couldn't receive gifts on behalf of the actress. It explained it was because of the corruption and damaged issues about the wedding gifts.
So, it just thanked its star's fans for their undying support and asked them just send her a message. The agency is not allowed to receive any kind of gifts, even cake, bread, fruit, flowers and especially expensive items.
Son Ye Jin and Hyun Bin admitted their romance on January 1, 2021. They reportedly fell in love on the set of their hit K-drama series "Crash Landing on You," which aired from December 2019 to February 2020.
