The speculations are now over as Studio MAPPA finally confirmed the coming of "Attack on Titan" Season 4 Part 3. After Episode 87's broadcast and a glimpse of Eren, the much-loved-hero-turned-villain will soon confess his feelings for Mikasa.
But will it change Mikasa's determination to stop Eren from destroying Marley and humanity? All eyes are now on "Attack on Titan" Season 4 Part 3 and how it will give justice to Hajime Isayama's masterpiece.
The news is now spreading like wildfire in the whole fandom after MAPPA announced the new part is currently in production. It will start airing sometime in 2023 and be composed of about 12 episodes.
Though the English translation names it "Part 3," the original Japanese wordings call it "Kanketsu-hen," which means Conclusion Arc, SportsKeeda noted. An official trailer and poster are now out on YouTube and Twitter and it shows how intense the next part will be.
Both feature the major characters of the series, led by Armin. Far different from the Armin used to see when he was young, his character has developed into a confident man who can now lead the fight.
Of course, Mikasa is also there, following Armin behind and ready to take into battle. It also shows Levi is now back in action, joining the group in their fight against Eren in "Attack on Titan" Season 4 Part 3.
It also features Connie, Jean and Hange, joined by Pieck, Annie, Reiner, Gabbie and Falco. The group is standing above the huge footprint of a Colossal Titan, teasing they are now in Marley, where the Rumbling occurs.
The chaos has started and it's now up to the new alliance how to stop it. However, if there's another thing fans want to see in the upcoming third part, it's the confession of feelings between Mikasa and Eren, per Comicbook.
Episode 87 teased what Eren really felt for Mikasa during their undercover visit to Marley. The group explored the rival nation while Eren made some wild revelations.
He saw the nation's best and worst aspects and his thoughts about the Ackermans made him ask Mikasa a question about what she thought of him. He wanted to know what he meant to Mikasa, but the latter seemed hesitant to admit her real feelings.
However, as Eren's confession fizzled, it looked like it would happen in the next part. As it seems like Eren only realizes his feelings for Mikasa now, will he still have a chance to redeem himself?
"Attack on Titan" Season 4 Part 3 has a lot of questions to answer when it drops next year.
