The talks about BTS's military service continue and the decision may finally be out later this month. The Democratic Party of Korea is now on the move to deal with this issue as soon as possible and the group members themselves have something to say about it.

Rep. Seong Il Jong, secretary of the People's Power of the National Assembly's National Defense Committee, revealed the discussion about the BTS's military exemption is still ongoing. So, would Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V and Jungkook serve in the military or will they be exempted?

"There was a discussion between the secretaries of both parties to review quickly," Seong said, via AllKpop. He then revealed that the final decision would be made during the National Assembly session this month.

He added that the Democratic Party of Korea is now moving proactively to solve whether or not there would be a special case for the global phenomenon's military service. In fact, the government has a will to deal with it as soon as possible.

He then admitted there's a flaw in the system, considering Grammy Awards are not included among the 42 contests that are part of the achievements list that allow individuals to receive special military service exemptions. So amid the negative public opinion about that, Seong cleared the most important thing is the level of their national contribution.

As of now, the bill to amend the Military Service Act is still pending in the National Assembly. It aims to allow famed artists who have made great accomplishments to be art and sports personnel.

As the eldest in the group, Jin may be the first one to be enlisted. With that said, he spoke up about the issue during a press conference at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, where they held their Permission to Dance on Stage concert.

As translated by Twitter, he said, via Indian Express, he had already talked to their agency, HYBE, about it and entrusted all the military service-related tasks with it. All of the members had let the agency handle the matter.

The group had repeatedly said they would accept the call of duty when the nation called for it. However, with the current changes with the Military Service Act, they are closely monitoring the situation while continuously discussing the issue.

But with the said changes, BTS members are now reportedly having a hard time handling their schedules as they can't predict the timing of their military service if it happens. It isn't easy to make plans, so they are closely eyeing the proposed amendment.
