HYBE talked about the future and plans for BTS after revealing its sales for the first quarter of 2022. Though no one can deny the fame the group is experiencing today, a report sees the need for the music label to strengthen Jungkook's solo activities and its other members.

HYBE's sales for the first quarter of 2022 on a consolidated basis are said to be estimated at 285 billion KRW or $226 million. It includes performance-related sales that are about 61.3 billion or $48.6 million.

AllKpop noted that the company said the group's journey had only started. Though it has no idea how far will Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V and Jungkook go, it promises to be with them until the end.

HYBE CEO Park Ji Won then confirmed the boys' return with a new album on June 10. He added being with BTS is a great blessing to the agency and they should never be taken for granted.

So, it revealed it would focus on supporting the band so that they could expand without stopping.

He then brushed on the issue that the company is intentionally reducing its dependence of BTS due to the decrease in the proportion of the group in HYBE's total revenue. "The sales proportion of BTS was relatively reduced as the sales of other artists in HYB increased," Ji Won explained.

Meanwhile, reporter Lee Dong Hoon from the website MOVIST claimed the company needed to strengthen Jungkook's solo activities to continue the Korean wave's influence. He also commended the K-pop idol's vocals and ability to compose songs after being recognized as a Japanese OST composer.

True to his words, the 24-year-old star has been showing great talents after breaking various records with his solo songs. This just proves that he deserves to be given more opportunities and have more solo activities in the future.

For starters, Jungkook has released a solo song, "Stay Live," which debuted at No. 95 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the U.S. It is the only OST sung by a Korean soloist to have sold 100,000 units just 80 days after its release.

His other solo song, "My Time," debuted at No. 84 on the Billboard Hot 100, while "Euphoria" took the No. 5 spot on Billboard Bubbling Under chart in 2018. With that said, HYBE is advised to focus on strengthening Jungkook's solo activities, as well as the other BTS members.
