Many are eagerly waiting for "Attack on Titan" Final Season Part 3. As it sets to end the much-loved anime, many expect it will also answer all the questions fans have in mind.
With that said, what can viewers expect from "Attack on Titan" Final Season Part 3 as it puts the series to a close? Will it follow the manga's ending or will it have an original-anime conclusion?
There are theories that the third part will be the shortest of the season. The first part featured 16 episodes, while the second dropped 12 episodes.
With 28 episodes being released so far and the final episode was based on the manga's 130th chapter, there were only nine chapters left to cover. The manga series ended in Chapter 139 in April 2021.
Many questions are now surrounding the final chapter. Sports Keeda noted there are theories Annie and Reiner's families, along with the foreign countries' youngsters, would escape the Rumbling, but who will make it to the end is still a mystery.
It is also expected to reveal Eren's point of view through flashbacks, showing his sorrow and loyalty to his cause. After that, a connection between him and the Rumbling will be seen.
Eren's transformation into an ultimate evil will also come into play. He is now the biggest danger to humankind, so his demise is maybe the only way for humanity to survive in "Attack on Titan" Final Season Part 3.
However, as the manga ended with the beheading of Eren, some fans believed the anime would feature an original ending that would be different from its source material. So, will fans see a different conclusion?
The manga's ending turned controversial after leaving fans with several questions. Not everyone loves it and some even went to criticize the end. In fact, some even fear that the anime's ending will go down the drain.
So, MAPPA may make its own way and change a few beats from the manga to tell its own story, per Polygon. Also, it is not yet confirmed if Part 3 will officially be the end of the series.
Though the announcement seems to suggest the end, it may not be the case. Will a new movie come to officially conclude the show?
The anime is set to return for another "final season" and "Attack on Titan" Final Season Part 3 will be out sometime in 2023. So far, there are no words yet on when it will officially be released.
