Former AOA member Mina has a new venture. The singer-actress opened up a café in Hongdae, Seoul, and she's promoting it on her social media pages.
Mina gave a glimpse of her new café on Instagram after posting some pictures on Sunday, July 10. She also posts photos of her new business location and the menu.
In the caption, as translated by AllKpop, the 28-year-old star asked everyone to visit the café. She also invited them to take a break and try the coffees she offers, made by her store manager, who has six years of experience as a barista.
She noted that she's only using the ground floor of the café so far. In a separate post, she posted a couple of her selfies and wrote, "Let's meet at #cafe345," which is her business' name.
By the looks of it, Mina is now focusing on making business instead of her singing and acting career. Aside from being a business owner, she also announced she's recruiting new employees.
Meanwhile, after Mina promised to step out of the public eye for good, she talked about the alleged bullying incident with fellow AOA former member Shin Jimin, per Meaww. Back in 2020, she claimed that Jimin bullied her for ten years, resulting in self-harm and suicide attempts.
After issuing an apology, the public quickly dropped AOA and Jimin left the group. However, fans couldn't help but question Mina as she kept bringing up the issue.
Her texts insulting Jimin and her family then leaked. She was also primitive about the incident and it didn't sit well with the public.
In fact, many found loopholes in her story and believed she must be lying about her allegations, leading her to be cyberbullied. After she tried self-destruction again in mid-2021, she promised to stay away from social media as it affected her mental health.
However, in February, she went active on Instagram again to give fans an update about her life and talked about Jimin. She addressed a fan who asked her why she had lied about everything, stressing she just wanted to summarize everything and had been bullied for nine to 10 years.
She also revealed that she only cursed Jimin in her text messages and that her recent actions had made her suffer for ten years. "It piled up and piled up and I wanted to do everything if I could get revenge...whether I'd be the same person or not," she said.
Mina ended her post by explaining that she couldn't let go of the issue because Jimin apologized without acknowledging the bullying incident and promised her claims were real despite behaving crudely.
