Royal experts discuss Kate Middleton's way of bringing up her children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, showing she and Prince William are normal parents despite being royals. However, one of them notices that the Duchess of Cambridge has "quietly" disobeyed royal protocols, doing things her own way.

Prince William and Kate Middleton are known for being hands-on parents to their three children. In fact, royal experts have likened the future queen consort's parenting approach to her upbringing, making it more "modern and relatable."

Royal expert and author Katie Nicholl said, via Express, on the Channel 5 documentary "Kate: Our Queen in Waiting" that the mother-of-three brought a "modern touch" to her role as a mother. Despite that, she's still respecting all the traditions that come with being the future queen.

The documentary's narrator, David Riley, seconded Nicholl's sentiments, adding Kate Middleton had been following some royal traditions. However, she had also been quietly doing things her own way through her direct role in the kids' upbringing.

"And this very modern, hands-on approach has endeared her to a generation of parents across the country," he continued. He also claimed that this move sets the tone for the monarchy she and Prince William hope to do in the future.

Body language expert Judi James also told FEMAIL, per DailyMail, that the royal couple is showing they're also normal parents by encouraging their kids to be "fun, playful and spontaneous" in their public appearances. She added that the two use techniques to stay in tune with their children, not exhibiting any signals of anxiety in attending high-profile events.

She then explained that the mom and dad often look proud and doting when they let their kids be cheeky in public. That said, she found their parenting duties to be unique.

While shaping the prince, princess and the future king's lives into the royal family's rules, traditions and formalities, they're also letting them be kids-to have fun and freedom as much as possible.

Prince William and Kate Middleton perfectly manage the "normal aspect" of their parenting, just like any other parents taking their kids on a day out. Though the latter will show firmness at times, they're trying to mirror their kids' expressions.

That said, James found this move revealing how like-minded and evenly bonded they are as a family. By the looks of it, Prince William and Kate Middleton will be more hands-on with their children as they move to Windsor later this month.
