Prince William and Kate Middleton will be making their way to the U.S. for the Earthshot Prize ceremony on Friday, December 2. The royal couple's tour will start on Wednesday, November 30, so will Prince Harry and Meghan Markle overshadow them?

Some seem to worry that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's fame in the U.S. may outdo Prince William and Kate Middleton. However, palace sources confirm that Wales won't be distracted by the Sussexes in their travels.

It will be the first time the Cornwalls will be visiting the U.S. after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped down as senior royals in 2020 and moved to California. Their visit will also come amid Prince Harry's upcoming memoir, "Spare," and his and his wife's docuseries on Netflix.

It, too, will be the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall's first trip overseas after taking on their new roles following King Charles III's succession. Hence, this is seen as a good opportunity for the two to win over people in America.

Anyhow, a palace source confirmed, via Express, Prince William and Kate Middleton's U.S. visit isn't planned with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in mind. Though their team is very much aware of the latter's couple's presence in America, they're not "scared of their shadows on this."

The insider added that Prince William is the future king, while his brother has already taken his path in a different country. Meghan Markle, alternatively, has been doing her podcast. Though they have their own issues, the palace will not "run scared of that."

Prince William and Kate Middleton will travel to the U.S. from November 30 to December 2 to hold the second annual Earthshot Prize Awards Ceremony in Boston, Massachusetts. Activists, innovators, policymakers, and performers will join the two as they award the five winners of this year's international environmental prize.

The two's last visit to the U.S. was in 2014. Aside from the awarding, they, too, will attend several engagements that have something to do with the environment. They will get to know the city and the actions local organizations take to fight climate change's effects.

They will attend a special event with Boston Mayor Michelle Wu and visit the John F Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum with Ambassador Caroline Kennedy. The Royal Highnesses will also take time to learn about the innovative green technologies developed in the place during a visit to Greentown Labs in Somerville.
