Cher and Alexander "AE" Edwards are probably ready to take their relationship to another level. Rumors have it that the couple has recently been engaged after the Goddess of Pop shared a photo of a massive diamond ring, which AE held, on Twitter.
Cher quickly sparked engagement rumors when she tweeted a photo of a huge diamond ring that Edward was holding. However, she immediately shut down the claims, explaining she only showed her boyfriend's nail polish.
The music icon made the tweet on Christmas day and captioned it with, "THERE R NO WORDS, ALEXANDER,A.E." As expected, fans went into a frenzy after seeing her post, thinking it was a subtle engagement announcement.
One fan asked if the music executive had already proposed to her, while others asked what the diamond ring meant. Many started congratulating her, wishing her happiness, and asking when and where the wedding would be.
However, Cher just played coy about it, making another post with the same photo and explaining that she only posted it because Edwards' nails were "so cool." Amber Rose's ex had painted his nail black with green flames on top.
But fans remain skeptical of the singer's reasoning, doubting if the jewelry is an engagement ring or just an over-the-top Christmas gift. Cher's rep is yet to comment on the issue.
Meanwhile, the 76-year-old proudly talked about her boyfriend in her appearance on The Kelly Clarkson last week. She admitted their romance was "kind of ridiculous" on paper but way different in real life.
"We get along great," she said. She then described Edwards as "fabulous," swearing she didn't give men qualities they didn't deserve.
From there, she listed several of his traits that she used to describe her significant other, calling Edwards "very kind, very smart, very talented, and really funny." She also added that she believed she was "quite handsome."
Cher then discussed why she opted to date younger men than guys her age. She told Clarkson she would "never have a date" if she chose to go out with older guys.
She revealed older men didn't like her much and admitted she had a couple of boyfriends around her age. However, she realized that they didn't want her for some reason.
Alternatively, the hitmaker found the younger men didn't really care if she was funny, outrageous, wanted to do stupid things, and had a strong personality. "I'm not giving up my personality for anybody, okay?" she warned.
In November, Cher and Edwards first sparked dating rumors after they were spotted holding hands in public.
