Jeremy Renner is now out of the surgery but remains in the intensive care unit following his snowplow accident. The "Hawkeye" star sustained serious injuries and trauma in his home in Reno, Nevada, on New Year's Day while plowing the snow.

Renner was air-lifted to the hospital after the weather-related accident and was reportedly in critical but stable condition. Aside from injuries, he also allegedly suffered from losing a serious amount of blood.

In a statement to People, the actor's rep confirmed that he had suffered "blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries" and needed surgery. Come Monday, January 2, he successfully returned from surgery, though he remained in critical but stable condition.

The spokesperson continued that the 51-year-old's family wanted to thank the doctors and nurses looking after him, the Truckee Meadows Fire and Rescue, Washoe County Sheriff, Reno City Mayor Hillary Schieve, and the Carano and Murdock families. They were also extremely overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and support he was receiving from his fans.

A source close to Renner told CNN that he needed two surgeries to address the injuries he had sustained from the accident. The insider added that his "injuries are extensive."

TMZ claimed that his injuries caused him to lose a lot of blood. In the video obtained by the publication, the "Mayor of Kingstown" star was seen being loaded on the chopper Sunday, January 1, at about 9:50 a.m.

Eyewitnesses revealed that Renner was plowing the road about a quarter mile from his home, so his family could go out following the massive New Year's Eve storm. However, a neighbor detailed that the plowing machine, a Snowcat, accidentally ran over one of his legs, resulting in a huge blood loss.

Another neighbor, a doctor, managed to put a tourniquet on his leg until the paramedics arrived. The police then impounded the Snowcat, which was seen on the video Renner recently posted, and treated the area like an active crime scene. The issue, however, is the machine has extensive safety measures and should not have rolled over his legs.

Another source close to Renner revealed his family is expected to release a new statement Monday evening after the surgery was held. Officials said the Marvel Cinematic Universe actor was the only person who was involved in the said accident, and the Washoe County Sheriff's Office Major Accident Investigation Team is already looking into the circumstances.

Before the accident occurred, Renner had shared several photos and videos about their snowy conditions on his social media pages. In a clip posted two weeks ago, he was seen driving the snowplow, and another video shared a week ago showed the snow being plowed.
