Fans will again see Hugh Jackman with his claws on in "Deadpool 3," almost six years after playing the role in "Logan." As the Ryan Reynolds-starrer film is about to drop in a year, the Australian actor is now preparing for it, revealing it will be his job for six months.

In an interview on CNN and HBO Max's "Who's Talking to Chris Wallace?" Jackman revealed he's now on his fitness journey to reprise his role as Wolverine in "Deadpool 3." So, what will be the preparations he will make?

The 54-year-old revealed, via People, that he had learned he couldn't rush getting back in shape and it would take time. Hence, they have six months to do so, from finishing his Broadway show "The Music Man" to when the filming began.

Between those two timelines, "The Greatest Showman" star will never do any other work but get fit. So, his job will be with his family and training during that time.

Despite his need to train, Jackman claimed he's already fit right now, explaining there's something about doing eight shows in a week on Broadway, singing and dancing. "So, I'm healthy," he stressed.

This puts him in "a good place to start." He then apologized to the chickens and asked them to run a mile because he was coming for them.

For starters, the "Les Misérables" star and his longtime frenemy, Reynolds, announced their collaboration as Deadpool and Wolverine in a video posted in September 2022. At the time, the former announced he would return to reprise his iconic Marvel comic book character, opposite the latter's titular role.

Reynolds quipped that he had already run out of ideas for his movie's sequel, so he asked Jackman if he would be open to playing Wolverine again in "Deadpool 3." "Yeah, sure," Jackman said.

The "Real Steel" star earlier said on "The Empire Film Podcast" that, like their comic book dynamic, Deadpool and Wolverine would remain opposites and continuously hate each other in the upcoming movie. From his perspective, Logan is annoyed and frustrated by Deadpool.

So, his character wants to be miles away from him as much as possible or punch him in the head if they are left with no choice but to be together. So, as they must be with one another in the movie, he may just need to hit him in the head a lot of times.

Jackman started to play the role of Logan in the 2000 movie "X-Men." Since then, he has played the role in 10 more films, including "Deadpool 3," which is set to be out in November 2024. He currently stars in Broadway's "The Music Man" and will hold his final show on January 15.
