The crowds showed their support for Prince William and Kate Middleton amid the allegations and attacks Prince Harry made against them and the royal family in his memoir, "Spare." During the royal couple's continued their royal duties, visiting the new Royal Liverpool University Hospital Thursday, January 12, the Prince of Wales seemed to respond to his brother's claims.

Despite the negative accusations against Prince William and Kate Middleton, the public received the future king and queen consort with the warmest welcome during their appearance. In fact, one of them held the Duke of Cornwall's tightly, seemingly encouraging him to continue what he was doing.

Among the crowds was the patient named Sylvia Staniford, 81. She gripped the prince's hand and told him to keep going as the Scousers loved him. "Yes, I will," he simply replied while warmly smiling at her.

Express noted that Staniford claimed her remarks were, "of course, a reference" to Prince Harry. "He knew what I was talking about," she said.

HELLO! reported that the Wales got out of their car when they arrived, and someone was heard asking if they were hurt by the comments in the Duke of Sussex's book. However, it wasn't clear whether Prince William heard the question and intentionally didn't reply or just didn't hear it.

It has been said time and over again that the palace will not comment on the claims made in the memoir of Meghan Markle's husband.

Prince William and Kate Middleton visited the hospital's critical care ward to see its new facilities and meet its staff to thank them for their service. The new hospital is described as state-of-the-art and the biggest of its kind in the country.

It has single en-suite bedrooms and provides improved patient experience, safety, and enhanced recovery. The pair then went to the Open Door Charity after visiting the hospital.

Evidently, the British public has remained supportive of the royal family despite Prince Harry's criticisms of the Firm. In fact, it was proven by a recent poll by YouGov made on January 5 and 6, when details of the memoir were already starting to leak.

As a result, 54 percent of 1,700 adult Britons still favor the monarchy as an institution. However, it slightly dropped from the 60 percent result in November.

Alternatively, the December survey found that only 26 percent had a favorable view of Prince Harry, while 64 percent had a negative response. It was said to be his lowest rating since YouGov started tracking the royals' popularity.
