"My Hero Academia" Chapter 380 finally has a release date after Kohei Horikoshi's lengthy hiatus because of some health reasons. MangaPlus and Viz Media have finally updated the new chapter's schedule on their respective websites, and fans will see the next turn of events in two weeks.

"My Hero Academia" Chapter 380 was supposed to be out on February 5 in Weekly Shonen Jump Issue 10, but the mangaka reportedly had to take a three-week hiatus due to health issues. The series' official website later confirmed the news, though the manga would soon return.

The print version had to alter its format with the schedule change. The artwork that was supposed to come with the new chapter was already printed in the magazine's said issue, featuring the character design of Deku's vigilante or Black Deku hero costume.

However, Shueisha confirmed that the manga creator experienced health problems, and a hiatus was needed to recover. It wasn't the first time Horikoshi surprised everyone with a sudden break.

In December 2022, an unannounced break also happened, and the official websites didn't have the chance to update the new release dates until after all the magazine's serializations were published. Fortunately, "My Hero Academia" Chapter 380 would soon be out.

With the too-often breaks and Horikoshi's health problems, the artist has already expressed his desire to end the manga this year. However, he later realized it would take some time before he could officially wrap up its loose ends.

Though it's already on its final leg, many unresolved mysteries remain, like the several fronts of the ongoing war that are yet to be touched upon. Including the upcoming chapter, he may still need to work on 50 more chapters to give the manga the justice it needs before it officially concludes.

Meanwhile, "My Hero Academia" Chapter 379, "Hopes," focused on Lady Nagant and her redemption as she became the hero she originally was. Despite being badly injured, she still helped Deku to fight All for One in Shigaraki's body.

She shot AFO from the faraway hospital building and pierced him as he was about to face Deku. The bullet made AFO lose control of Shigaraki's body, allowing Deku to dominate him.

Shigaraki now had control of his body, promising he would no longer be a pawn to AFO's plans. He planned to destroy everything that had to do with the house, which was his old home, where he suffered bad childhood and lost everything before AFO found him.

Hence, fans are about to see a fight between the real Shigaraki and Deku, who promises to still look after his enemy. "My Hero Academia" Chapter 380 will finally drop Sunday, February 19.
