King Charles III's coronation is coming near, and it remains a big question if Prince Harry and Meghan Markle attend the event. Though some see clues that the Duke of Sussex may be there for the special occasion, reports indicate that the Sussexes are yet to receive an invitation.

It has been said time and over again that Prince Harry and Meghan will be invited to the coronation, though nothing has been confirmed yet. A source close to the couple even alleged that no invitation had been extended, and reconciliation seemed far from happening.

The relationship between the two former senior royals and the royal family has been strained since the infamous Megxit happened in 2020. Things got even worse when they made several allegations against them in their docuseries, "Harry & Meghan," and the memoir, "Spare."

In an interview with Tom Bradby, the prince hinted that a lot could happen "between now and then" as the coronation neared. He knew the door would always be open, and the ball was in their court.

Prince Harry added that a lot needed to be discussed, and he remained hopeful that the royal family would be willing to sit down and talk about it. However, with how things go today, the insider said there's still "a long way to go."

The source explained that the problem is the Duchess of Sussex and her husband want a "capitulation and apology" from the palace. But when "recollections vary," it would be difficult.

Alternatively, King Charles is said to be eager for the situation to "calm down" in time for his coronation. A royal source to the royal household said the crowning would be a "momentous occasion" for him and would want his son, Prince Harry, to witness it.

He wanted his youngest son to be back in the royal family. If they don't sort things out, how he left his family disjointed will always hunt his reign. With his reputation as a distant parent, he knows it will be awful for him to continue that image.

Meanwhile, Prince Harry seems to have dropped some clues that he will attend his dad's coronation in May. There's a "working assumption" at Buckingham Palace that Prince Harry and Meghan will be at Westminster Abbey, despite not having an official confirmation.

He didn't rule out the possibility in his ITV interview. He, too, is looking forward to a reconciliation if King Charles and his brother, Prince William, are willing to resolve their issues in private.

To add more fuel to the fire, His Majesty even sought the assistance of the Archbishop of Canterbury to ensure Prince Harry would attend his coronation.
