"Demon Slayer" Movie 2, titled "The Swordsmith Village," is now dominating the Japanese theaters, and it may start to do so internationally. The film is about to make its way to big international screens, so when will it drop in your country?

"Demon Slayer" Movie 2 will feature the final two episodes of the second season finale of the Entertainment District arc and the first episode of the third season's succeeding Swordsmith Village arc. It will show the fans the smooth transition between the two seasons' storylines, and how it will once again sweep its viewers from their feet.

The new film will premiere internationally, starting on February 18 in Malaysia and Singapore. An advanced screening will take place at Orpheum Theater in Los Angeles, California, on the same date, which will play out an advanced screening of the movie's North American public premiere on March 3.

However, the film will only be seen in theaters at this time, as no streaming options have been announced yet. But with Crunchyroll's involvement in the film's distribution, it may eventually feature the movie in its arsenal.

Following the February 3 release in Japan, "Demon Slayer" Movie 2 will be seen in Malaysia and Singapore on February 18; Paris, France, on February 25; Berlin, Germany, on February 26; U.S. and Canada on March 3; Mexico City, Mexico, on March 4; Seoul, South Korea, on March 11; and Taipei, Taiwan, on March 19.

Meanwhile, the film is now dominating the Japan theaters, dethroning the recently released "The First Slam Dunk" movie. The latter film held the top spot in the said country a few weeks ago.

"The Swordsmith Village" has earned $8.8 million or about JPY¥1,158,765,410 during its first three days of release, per the franchise's official Twitter page. That said, it's expected to be one of the biggest anime movies of 2023 as it soon hits international cinemas in no time.

By the looks of it, fans can't get enough of Koyoharu Gotague's brainchild, which manga debuted in 2016, while the anime began in 2019. So far, Box Office Mojo noted that "Demon Slayer" Movie 2 has already earned more than $20 million in overall gross since its release.

As the film is about to drop internationally, fans can expect that number to grow dramatically in the coming days. However, this success should never come as a surprise.

It's good to note that its predecessor, "The Mugen Train" movie, is still the highest-grossing Japanese movie worldwide with a whopping $506 million gross. So, can "Demon Slayer" Movie 2 surpass or even match these earnings?
