Fans can't help but react to the repercussions of Yoo Ah In's alleged drug use after the investigation of his alleged illegal use of propofol and testing positive for marijuana. Amid these controversies, rumors have it that several brands are removing the actor from their ads.

Yoo Ah In's advertisement deals are reportedly affected by his ongoing drug use controversies. Hence, fans can't help but come to his defense, stressing that his alleged illegal use of propofol only concerns his sleep problems.

In an article by AllKpop, netizens revealed how "disheartening" it is to see the 36-year-old as a negative influence today after being lauded for his unique personality and fearless ways. In a discussion on Naver, one fan asked if his TV and movie projects are also affected by this issue.

If it does, the fan can't believe his irresponsibility has affected others working with him. Another asked about the other three media works he's doing amid all these issues.

Another stressed the importance of being humble than being intelligent and unique. A different fan found it deceitful that others called themselves woke but weren't transparent about issues like these. But despite everything that has been said about Yoo Ah In, a lot of people still show their support for him on Instagram.

For starters, the gallerist tested positive for marijuana while being investigated for the illegal use of propofol. The investigation began immediately after he returned to Korea from the U.S., undergoing urine and hair tests, on February 5.

On February 10, his urine test resulted positive for marijuana, though the result of his hair test remained unknown. Before the result came out, the police reportedly held a search and seizure of various doctor offices and clinics in Seoul's Gangnam and Yongsan districts on February 8 and 9 upon the suspicions of illegally administering propofol to Yoo Ah In, starting in 2021.

After his urine test result came out, his agency, UAA, said it hadn't received a notice from the police about his drug test results. The company then promised to cooperate with the investigation fully.

The news broke about Yoo Ah In's propofol use on TV Chosun's "News9" on February 9. It dropped a blind item, saying a top Korean actor had undergone a police investigation for alleged use of propofol. Propofol is a sleep inducer and anesthetic that is only used in surgical procedures.

Hence, using it in South Korea for other purposes is illegal. In addition, there were also reports that the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency called in the creative director for allegedly violating the Narcotics Control Act. With these issues he's currently facing, he's not allowed to leave the country until the results of his drug tests come out.
