King Charles and Camilla, Queen Consort's coronation is coming near. Despite the controversies surrounding it, like if Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will attend, all royal family members have roles to play. So from the Sussexes to Prince William to Kate Middleton and their kids, here's what they may do.

Historian and author Tessa Dunlop revealed the major roles the high-profile royals will play at the upcoming King Charles' coronation on May 6 at Westminster Abbey. As expected, nearly all members of the firm are expected to attend the historical event led by the senior royals, Prince William and Kate.

Prince Harry, Meghan Markle

It's not yet confirmed if the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will attend the event, but the palace officials are reportedly told to act as if they're coming. They're said to be confirmed to be part of the guest list, but even if they accept the invitation, they will probably take the back seat at Westminster Abbey.

As a father, the monarch wants his two sons by his side. Though Prince Harry may be there, he will not wear a coronet and robe.

Except for the Duke of Cornwall, Dunlop told Mirror anyone from the realm would be paying homage to King Charles. So, Prince Harry may not go down on bended knee.

Meghan, alternatively, if Meghan comes, "any coronation finery will be entirely her own." "Expect very few to stand on ceremony for the Duchess of Sussex," Dunlop added.

Prince William, Kate Middleton

Alternatively, Prince William and Kate will be the front and center of the event, considering they will be the future king and queen consort. The Prince of Wales is now the heir to the throne.

So, he's set to pay homage to his father by going down on his knee and pledging his allegiance. He, too, will touch the crown and kiss King Charles' right cheek.

Prince George, Princess Charlotte, Prince Louis

Prince William and Kate's kids, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, will also be at the coronation, dressed in their finery. However, Dunlop claimed Prince George might not have a humble role as a pageboy. Instead, he and his sibling will be a "big visual pull" at the event.

The Balcony Appearance

King Charles is urged to follow in the footsteps of her late mom, Queen Elizabeth's precedent, and let the senior working royals appear on the balcony, like Princess Anne, Prince Edward, and Sophie, Countess of Wessex. Hence, it's highly likely that Prince Harry, Meghan, and Prince Edward will not be there.
