The attendance of Prince Louis, the 4-year-old son of Prince William and Kate Middleton, at the coronation of his grandfather, King Charles III, next month is uncertain. This comes after the young prince's behavior during previous royal events attracted media attention, leading to concerns about his presence at the upcoming event.

Notably, during the balcony event of Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee in June 2022, Prince Louis was seen making funny faces and covering his ears while shouting. Although he did not attend the funeral of his great-grandmother, he did participate in the Christmas morning service at the Church of St. Mary Magdalene in Norfolk, England, with his parents and siblings, Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

However, an unnamed palace source told Page Six that Prince Louis' behavior might be the reason he will not attend the coronation of the 74-year-old monarch on May 6 at Westminster Abbey. "He's only 4, after all," the source said. An official Kensington Palace spokesperson clarified that Prince William and Middleton would decide whether their youngest son will attend the event closer to the date.

Prince George and Princess Charlotte are confirmed to attend the coronation. Buckingham Palace has announced that Prince George will be one of the four pages of honor, alongside several of Queen Consort Camilla's grandchildren.

While the attendance of Prince Louis remains uncertain, another unnamed royal source told Entertainment Tonight that the children of the Prince and Princess of Wales will "have a high-profile role at the coronation." If confirmed, Prince Louis and his siblings would join their parents in a carriage during the coronation and on the Buckingham Palace balcony afterward.

The attendance of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle is also unclear. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who stepped back from their roles as senior royals in 2020, have received an official invitation from the palace but have yet to confirm their presence. A representative for the couple told the UK's The Times last month that an immediate decision on their attendance would not be disclosed at that time.
