As King Charles' coronation on May 6 approaches, the rift between Prince Harry and Prince William appears to have deepened, with the brothers reportedly not planning to interact during the event. Biographer Tina Brown told LBC's Andrew Marr, "They are totally estranged. I do not think there will be any contact between them at the coronation. I think that their relationship right now is on absolute ice."

Brown suggested that Prince Harry's growing resentment toward his brother stems from feeling sidelined, saying, "The longer Harry dwells on what happened in his life, the more he feels resentment against William, because he feels, I think, that William was even more calculated, essentially, in making him number two, making him the spare, and feel like the spare at all times."

She added that while Prince Charles may seek reconciliation, such rifts have historically worsened over time, as seen with George VI and the Duke of Windsor.

Tensions between the royal siblings heightened after Prince Harry, 38, released his memoir, Spare, and Netflix series, Harry & Meghan. Consequently, palace staff are said to be planning the brothers' seating arrangements, entries, and exits with the goal of avoiding conflict, according to Kinsey Schofield.

Prince Harry will make a brief appearance at the coronation but has decided to skip the concert, opting to return home to his son Archie for his fourth birthday. A source revealed, "After much back and forth, Harry said that he would be returning for the King's coronation, but it will only be a fleeting visit." They added, "Organizers have been told Harry won't be attending the concert with the rest of the royal family, which is a great shame as it will be such a spectacular event."

To prevent any additional drama, Meghan Markle will remain in the United States with the couple's children, Archie and Lilibet.
