The Duke of Sussex, Prince Harry, is likely grappling with considerable challenges after his departure from the British royal family, according to Italian royalty.

In a recent interview with Fox News Digital, Prince Emanuele Filiberto of Savoy, shared his insights into the British royal family. He praised the commendable efforts of Prince Harry's father, King Charles III, describing him as "fantastic" and remarking on his "incredible job."

When asked about his perspective on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's decision to renounce their royal duties in 2020 and relocate to California, he expressed empathy, being a non-working royal himself. This decision had led to the couple losing their royal patronages and Prince Harry's honorary military appointments by Queen Elizabeth II in 2021.

Prince Emanuele said, "I understand the implications of being born into a royal family, the sense of heritage running in your veins. I am sure Harry is dealing with the fallout of his titles being rescinded and his royal representation coming to an end. However, it's a path that he and his wife have chosen. My hope is that they lead fulfilling lives."

Although he refused to critique the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's decision, he expressed his disappointment at seeing Prince Harry in the back row during King Charles' coronation on May 6 in London.

Prince Emanuele continued, "I've always been against the idea of criticizing others' decisions. Harry is an intelligent man. He experienced his fair share of hardships, notably the media scrutiny in his youth and losing his mother. At some point, he likely wished for a different life, and he pursued that in America with his wife. Yet, it was disheartening to see him seated distantly during his father's coronation, considering he is still the King's son. However, family issues should remain private."

During the interview, Prince Emanuele also revealed his identification with the Sussexes' path as non-working royals.

He added, "I'm in no position to judge others as I've also deviated from royal protocol in my pursuit of connecting with the Italian public. I've participated in TV shows and even ventured into the restaurant business. My hope for the Duke and Duchess is happiness, the freedom to raise their children as they see fit. Ultimately, time will tell who was correct in their choices. I believe we shouldn't criticize either decision."

Meanwhile, Prince Harry and Markle were conspicuously absent from King Charles' birthday parade on Saturday, marking the Duke's first miss of the annual Trooping the Colour event. Prince Harry's biographer, Angela Levin, noted that the event "worked really well" without their presence, even going so far as to say, "I didn't miss Harry and Meghan one dot."
