Following the end of David de Gea's contract, Manchester United are shifting their focus towards potential goalkeeper targets, with Feyenoord's Justin Bijlow emerging as a prominent name on the list.

The Red Devils have been actively working on their squad refresh for the upcoming season, having recently secured a deal with Chelsea for Mason Mount. With the Financial Fair Play (FFP) guidelines keeping a close check on their net spend of £100m, the club's decisions on further signings will hinge on the pricing of different players.

Currently, the United management is focusing on the addition of a new center-forward to their ranks. The club has been in talks with Atalanta concerning Rasmus Hojlund, a prospective signing that Manchester United's manager Erik ten Hag is enthusiastic about. Despite the ongoing negotiations, the club is hesitant to pay the £85.9m valuation for the 20-year-old forward.

With a focus on bolstering their attack, the club intends to sit down with De Gea to discuss his future once he returns to England. If a new striker joins the team, the club's financial restrictions may prevent the signing of a new first-choice goalkeeper.

Bijlow, a former Eredivisie champion, is among the goalkeepers that Manchester United is considering. Known for his skills in playing out from the back, the 25-year-old Dutch international is familiar to Ten Hag from his time in the Eredivisie. United has checked on Bijlow's availability with Feyenoord, although reports suggest that the Dutch champions are not eager to let him go.

Having performed admirably in securing Feyenoord's Eredivisie title last season, despite a wrist injury causing him to miss nine matches, Bijlow has proven his value. He featured in 34 matches across all competitions for Feyenoord in the last season.

Also on United's radar is Inter Milan's Andre Onana, a player Ten Hag previously managed at Ajax. United's interest in the 27-year-old goalkeeper was confirmed by Inter CEO Beppe Marotta.

Securing funds through player sales could open up additional options for United. Should De Gea depart, Dean Henderson, currently recuperating from surgery, could return as United's first-choice goalkeeper or be sold to potential bidders like Nottingham Forest. The arrival of Mount has put midfielder Fred on the transfer list, with Fulham showing interest.

Despite the uncertainty, the attention garnered by Bijlow due to his stellar performances at Feyenoord has put him firmly in the sights of Manchester United as they seek a reliable custodian for their goalposts.
