Veteran royal biographer Angela Levin suggested that the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, has no plans to end her union with Prince Harry, despite potential individual pursuits that might put the Prince in the shadows.
On GB News' "Royal Round-Up" segment, hosted by Nana Akua, Levin conveyed her insights concerning the recent buzz that Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, is contemplating a retreat from Hollywood and celebrity life. In fact, he is reportedly planning a solo Netflix documentary project in Africa.
Levin voiced concerns about Prince Harry's apparent intentions, stating, "It's a brewing crisis." She added, "He cherishes Africa, and his intent to create a compelling broadcast in that region is clear. His aim, undeniably, is to secure Netflix's continual financial backing."
However, she hinted at emerging whispers from Markle's camp that Prince Harry "has chosen to relinquish the limelight. We may see less of him. Meghan, familiar with this terrain, navigates it seamlessly, but it's not the same for Harry."
Levin inferred from these speculations that Markle might be turning her attention towards individual initiatives, leaving Prince Harry behind.
"This may suggest, albeit unpleasantly, that Meghan has reaped what she desired from Harry. She can now step forward with her new public relations engagements and savor the opportunities coming her way, while Harry becomes increasingly inconspicuous," Levin surmised.
Nevertheless, Levin, author of "Harry: A Biography of a Prince," anticipates that Markle will not sever ties with Prince Harry. The loss of royal status, she suggests, would decrease public interest in her.
"She won't part ways with him. A split would result in a drastic loss of public intrigue, which primarily revolves around her royal status. It's a regrettable scenario," Levin remarked.
Business Times was unable to independently corroborate these details.
Markle has recently aligned with the leading Hollywood talent agency, WME. According to the agency, acting will be secondary for the Duchess as they aim to "expand her business endeavors across diverse aspects of the agency and its expansive ecosystem, covering film and TV production, brand collaborations, and beyond."
Markle is rumored to be considering the revival of her blog, The Tig, which was discontinued in 2017. Documents filed with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office suggest The Tig might return as a lifestyle platform, focusing on travel, interior design, health and wellness, culinary arts, and fashion.
Prince Harry's planned African documentary, as reported by Page Six, has been hampered by the ongoing Hollywood writers' strike. However, his documentary, "Heart of Invictus," spotlighting the annual games he initiated for service members and veterans, is set to debut on Netflix in August.
In a previous appearance on GB News, Levin conjectured that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's marriage is "on the brink" and suggested that the couple seems to be "drifting apart."
"She'll eventually step aside. She's not there when it's crucial," Levin predicted in her conversation with Paul Murray.
