In a recent revelation, the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, has been overriding Prince Harry's preferences, particularly concerning their potential relocation to Malibu. While Meghan is keen on embracing the bustling life of Malibu, closer to Los Angeles, Prince Harry seems to prefer the tranquility of Montecito.
Royal expert Angela Levin shared insights, stating, "I don't think Harry wants to be in Malibu. They went and spent a short time in Los Angeles, and he hated it." Levin added that Harry doesn't wish to be surrounded by celebrities, suggesting that Meghan's decision might be more of an ultimatum to the Duke: "like it or lump it."
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex's differing views on relocating have become evident. While they both seemed to adore their Montecito estate, which they acquired post their notable "Megxit" in 2020, Meghan's aspirations seem to be shifting. Levin pointed out that Meghan is "never satisfied" and is now eyeing a move closer to Los Angeles, especially after her high-profile signing with WME.
Levin continued, "We've been told by lots of people who know her that she's never satisfied with anything. She uses situations, and she uses people until they are of no use to her." The royal biographer also mentioned that even though Meghan had previously expressed that Montecito was her "dream house," her desires seem to change once they are fulfilled.
Amidst these revelations, there have been additional reports suggesting that the Sussexes' marriage might be more of a facade. Levin hinted at the possibility of Meghan moving on from both her husband and the royal secrets she once shared. The former actress, as per reports, might "never set foot in the U.K. again." This has fueled speculations that her union with Prince Harry might merely be a stepping stone for her ambitions.
The couple is reportedly considering an $8 million property in the Malibu region. They had previously looked at real estate in the Hope Ranch area, which didn't sit well with some locals. A real estate agent mentioned, "People are not happy, that's the word around town. They want them to stay in Montecito and not be drawing that kind of attention to Hope Ranch."
As the Sussexes navigate these crossroads, the world watches closely. Will the couple find a middle ground, or will their differing aspirations drive a wedge between them? Only time will tell.
