The chart-topping artist, P!nk, has been forced to hit pause on her much-anticipated Trustfall Tour after being diagnosed with a respiratory infection. The announcement came Thursday, October 19, indicating that two of her Vancouver performances for the coming weekend would be rescheduled.
The "What About Us" singer took to Instagram to share her health status, expressing, "I am deeply sorry to share that I have a respiratory infection and my doctor has advised that I am unable to perform at the Vancouver shows on Friday and Saturday." She continued, reinforcing her commitment to her fans, "I am very much looking forward to performing in Vancouver and putting on an incredible show for everyone. In the meantime, I wish everyone good health and am sending lots of love."
But it hasn't been an easy week for the pop powerhouse. Just days earlier, P!nk also had to postpone two Trustfall Tour shows in Tacoma, Washington, due to undisclosed "family medical issues." The star communicated the unfortunate news on Instagram, noting, "Family medical issues require our immediate attention. I send everyone my sincerest apologies for any inconvenience this has caused."
These unexpected turn of events come in the wake of P!nk's remarkable North American leg of her Summer Carnival stadium tour, which has reportedly generated an impressive $257.6 million in revenue, selling 1.8 million tickets across 41 shows. The tour commenced with a European phase, amassing $106.8 million from the sale of 871,000 tickets and continued its journey in the U.S. and Canada, grossing another $150.7 million from the sale of 914,000 tickets.
Despite the challenges, P!nk's undeterred spirit and dedication to her craft shine through. While on the Summer Carnival tour, which began on June 7 in England, the Grammy-award winning artist also introduced the Trustfall Tour, primarily focusing on North American venues in support of her ninth studio album, "Trustfall", released earlier this year in February.
The Trustfall Tour had only just begun, with P!nk completing three shows, starting in Sacramento, California, and making two memorable stops in San Francisco. The "Raise Your Glass" singer's global appeal remains evident, with the Summer Carnival tour set to resume in Australia and New Zealand come February, ending in March 2024.
It's worth noting that this isn't the first time the performer has faced health-related setbacks on tour. P!nk had previously postponed a performance in Arlington, Texas, due to a sinus ailment.
Beyond her prolific career, P!nk, born Alecia Beth Moore, is also a mother to two children with her husband, Carey Hart - their daughter, Willow Sage, and son, Jameson.
Live Nation, the event promoter, is currently working on rescheduling the affected dates, ensuring fans get the experience they've been eagerly waiting for. Fans are advised to keep their tickets as updates on the new dates will be communicated soon.
