Jungkook and 'Seven' were recently included in the U.S. Billboard's staff-selected 'Billboard's Greatest Pop Stars of 2023: Introduction & Honorable Mentions' and 'The 100 Best Songs of 2023: Staff Picks.' Billboard praised 'Seven' for its UK garage-influenced beat and Latto's powerful feature, stating the song could captivate even the most steadfast pop fans.

On December 12th, Jungkook enlisted in the army as an active-duty soldier. Before his military service, he had a successful run with his July release 'Seven,' the single '3D,' and his November solo album 'GOLDEN,' solidifying his status as a global pop star.

Jungkook demonstrated his solo power by topping the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and entering the Billboard 200 at number two. The title track of 'GOLDEN,' 'Standing Next to You,' debuted at number five on the 'Hot 100,' marking Jungkook's sixth entry on the chart as a solo artist.

In a video introducing his album 'GOLDEN' to the press on November 3rd, Jungkook spoke about his future plans, stating, "Like the other members, I think we have become stronger in many aspects through our solo singles and albums. These activities are part of BTS. One thing I can assure you of is that if BTS comes back together in 2025, it will be really amazing. I am looking forward to it even more than you (the fans) are."
