There's a common thread in the solo endeavors of BLACKPINK members Jennie and Jisoo: both are collaborating with their families through one-person agencies.

Amidst BLACKPINK's contract renewal with YG Entertainment for group activities, each member is indicating their unique approach to solo activities. Jennie has announced the establishment of her own agency, ODD Atelier (OA), while Jisoo is known to be starting entertainment business ventures with a company led by her brother. Both Jennie and Jisoo are receiving familial support for their solo careers.

Jennie, on the 24th of last month, mentioned her new beginning via her social media, stating, "From 2024, I intend to start my solo activities under a company called OA. I request much love for my new challenge and for BLACKPINK." ODD Atelier, the agency founded by Jennie, is co-established with her mother, providing a strong family backbone as she departs from her long-time former agency.

After establishing her agency, Jennie recently shared her thoughts during the recording of KBS 2TV's 'The Seasons - Lee Hyori's Red Carpet.' She said, "I have been with my company for 7 years, and while we will continue our group activities together, I wanted to freely and comfortably pursue my solo activities, which led me to cautiously establish my own company."

Meanwhile, Jisoo's brother's company posted a job advertisement under the name 'Blissoo,' indicating her move towards solo activities with family support. The advertisement, which used Jisoo's photo, described the company as "a startup poised for rapid global growth in the K-pop industry, a meeting of artists and startups like no other. We are rapidly expanding our entertainment business domestically and internationally to garner more love from K-pop fans along with the artist's growth."

While there have been various speculations about Jisoo's career post-YG, including rumors of transferring to another company or significant investments, she too has chosen the support of her family for her solo journey.

With the plans for Jennie and Jisoo's solo careers now taking shape, attention is also turning to the future paths of Rosé and Lisa, whose courses of action have been the subject of much speculation.

As BLACKPINK embarks on this new phase of 'together yet apart' under YG's full support for group activities and individual freedom, the focus is on how each member will unfold her unique journey and how they will collectively continue to impact the global music scene.
