BTS's Jin has illuminated his popularity as his solo single 'The Astronaut' has been chosen as the '2023 Song of the Year' by a popular radio channel in Mexico. 'The Astronaut' clinched the top spot in the '2023 Song of the Year (RankigHouseYearEnd2023 TOP 30)' conducted by Mexico's 'House Radio' channel.

Following Jin in first place were Miley Cyrus in second, Metro Boomin in third, Rema in fourth, and SZA in fifth.

Previously, in September last year, Jin also secured the first position in 'House Radio's' 'Summer Recommendation Songs (Rankig House Summer Edition TOP30)', shining as the 'Radio King.' He was followed by Dua Lipa, Olivia Rodrigo, Taylor Swift, and Miley Cyrus in the subsequent ranks.

'The Astronaut' received an explosive response last summer, particularly dominating the 'Summer Recommendation Songs TOP30' chart from July 15th to August 12th, maintaining the first position for five consecutive weeks, thus demonstrating its formidable global popularity.

Jin's 'The Astronaut' continues its unmatched popularity in Mexico, having first entered the 'Rankig House TOP30' chart on May 20th (local time) and achieving its first number one on June 3rd. Recently, on November 25th (local time), it reached the top spot for the 16th time, continuing its record-breaking streak.

Jin has also shown his status as an absolute powerhouse in the music world by holding the number one position for 61 weeks in the 'KPOP TOP40 Ranking' conducted by Argentina's 'Vega Radio.'

Before enlisting in the military on October 28th, 2022, Jin released 'The Astronaut' as a heartfelt gift for his fans. Upon release, it received an overwhelming response, highlighting Jin's diverse appeal.

Jin enlisted as an active-duty soldier in December 2022 and is currently serving as an instructor.
