Jungkook of BTS has sustained his top solo power on the Circle Chart (formerly Gaon Chart), operated by the Korea Music Content Association. The title track 'Standing Next to You' from his first solo album 'GOLDEN' clinched the number one spot on the weekly Global K-Pop section of the Circle Chart (for the week of November 24th to 30th).
'Standing Next to You' firmly maintained its number one position on the chart, which ranks based on global K-pop streaming usage, for the eighth consecutive week. Furthermore, Jungkook's other songs 'Seven' (Explicit Ver. and Clean Ver.) and '3D' have also entered the top 10, occupying the 4th, 6th, and 8th spots respectively.
Additionally, Jungkook's collaboration with R&B legend Usher, 'Standing Next to You-Usher Remix', ranked 29th, while other tracks from the album 'GOLDEN' such as 'Yes or No', 'Hate You', 'Please Don't Change', 'Closer to You', 'Somebody', 'Too Sad To Dance', and his self-composed 'Still with you' collectively marked their presence within the top 100. Earlier, Jungkook had achieved the number one spot on the Circle Global K-Pop Chart for 8 weeks with 'Seven' and 5 weeks with '3D'.
On the Billboard Hot 100, 'Standing Next to You' has successfully entered for the ninth consecutive week at the 70th position. It debuted at number one on both Billboard's 'Global (Excluding US)' and 'Global 200' charts, remaining on the charts for eight consecutive weeks. In Spotify, the world's largest music streaming platform, the song has surpassed 270 million streams and is rapidly heading towards 300 million.
'Standing Next to You' was included in the Grammy Awards' list of '15 K-Pop Songs That Took 2023 By Storm', receiving accolades as "a timeless hit that will transcend years to come."
Jungkook's 'GOLDEN', released last November, topped the Circle Chart's '2023 Cumulative Album (Physical) Sales Top 15' with sales exceeding 2.7 million copies, leading the year's cumulative album sales among all K-pop solo artists, both male and female.
