Amid Princess Kate's ongoing cancer treatment, Prince William has been her steadfast source of support, ensuring she never feels isolated. The Prince of Wales prioritized family time during the Easter holidays, demonstrating a strong family front during this challenging period.
Princess Kate stated in her video message about her cancer diagnosis that her husband was a "great source of comfort and reassurance." A source has explained how the Prince and Princess of Wales will support each other during this difficult time.
"He is a very reliable, strong person. She doesn’t feel isolated in this because of William, who is right beside her. This is about supporting her and [helping her feel supported]. It is a joint effort. As per GB News, she doesn’t feel isolated at all,” the insider stated.
"The nuclear family that they have created so well is an immense support not only to him but to Catherine too,” an informant told People. Princess Kate's parents, Carole and Michael Middleton, and her two siblings, Pippa and James, are also expected to support the family.
"Over the years, we have climbed many mountains together. As a family, we will climb this one with you too,” Princess Kate’s brother, James, stated in a touching statement on Instagram. The Prince and Princess of Wales spend Easter holidays at Anmer Hall in Norfolk, England.
"It is a particular time in their lives, and I know their priority will be to look after each other. His priority is on his family, and the other questions can wait,” the tipster continued.
Prince William and Princess Kate take a more "hands-on approach" to parenting than former royals who left much of the childcare up to nannies. "The children are at the centre of their world,” a close pal of the royal couple said.
Princess Kate mentioned her children several times during her video message. She said it took time to "explain everything" to Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 8 and Prince Louis, 5.
Meanwhile, the Duchess of York recently expressed her deep admiration for the Princess of Wales, Princess Kate, for her openness regarding her cancer diagnosis. Sarah Ferguson, who herself was diagnosed with skin cancer earlier this year after battling breast cancer last summer, praised Princess Kate’s decision to publicize her health challenge.
In a heartfelt Instagram post, Sarah underscored the significant positive impact that Catherine's transparency would have on raising awareness about cancer. "I know she will be embraced by the love of her family, and we all pray for the best outcome," Ferguson remarked.
Sarah highlighted her own recent cancer struggles, including a diagnosis of malignant melanoma discovered during breast cancer treatment, to underscore her solidarity and admiration for Princess Kate’s courage.
The Duchess's comments followed shortly after King Charles III commended his daughter-in-law for her bravery in disclosing her cancer treatment and expressed pride in Princess Kate’s fortitude.
Sarah shared in January her diagnosis of malignant melanoma, a serious form of skin cancer, detected after the removal of a cancerous mole amidst her battle with breast cancer. Having undergone several surgeries to remove and analyze moles during her reconstructive surgery, Ferguson faced her second cancer diagnosis within a span of six months, BBC reported.
In her message, Sarah conveyed her hope that Princess Kate would receive the necessary time, space, and privacy to recover. To recall, the Princess of Wales recently announced in a video statement her ongoing preventive chemotherapy following the discovery of cancer during tests earlier this year. While specific details about the type of cancer remain undisclosed, Kensington Palace has expressed optimism regarding the Princess of Wales's full recovery.
