The ongoing rift between the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and the rest of the Royal Family has been a topic of much speculation, and now, a royal expert has claimed that Meghan Markle's feelings of being "wronged" are preventing any significant reconciliation, despite Prince Harry's desire to mend the relationship.

Speaking to The Mirror, royal author and expert Tom Quinn shared his insights on the current state of the royal feud, particularly in light of Princess Kate's recent cancer diagnosis. "There has been a change since Kate's illness. Harry and Meghan feel they should extend an olive branch, but Meghan's feeling of being wronged is still stopping anything significant from happening," Quinn said.

The commentator noted that "illness often brings feuding family members together," and there have been hopes at Kensington Palace that Kate's health struggles might help bridge the gap between the Sussexes and the Waleses. However, Quinn believes that while Prince Harry would like to reconcile with his brother, he prioritizes his wife's feelings. "Harry would like a reconciliation but supports his wife completely and until she feels that the Royal Family have been sufficiently nice to her - and grovellingly apologised for the past. It's not going to happen," he added.

The relationship between the two royal couples has been strained since Meghan Markle and Prince Harry decided to step back from their roles as senior royals in 2020. The tension escalated further following the Sussexes' explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021 and the release of Prince Harry's memoir, "Spare," in which he made several allegations against his brother, Prince William.

According to Quinn, the Prince and Princess of Wales have attempted to extend an olive branch by inviting Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to bring their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, to the UK for a visit. However, the author claims that Meghan has turned down the offer, stating, "There is no way Meghan would bring the children to the UK. William and Kate have suggested that Meghan and Harry bring the children and that the two couples and their families try to make up, but the suggestion is not leading anywhere so far."

The news of Kate Middleton's cancer diagnosis has sent shockwaves through the royal family and the public. In a heartfelt Instagram video, the Princess of Wales shared her journey, revealing that she had undergone major abdominal surgery in January and was now in the early stages of preventive chemotherapy. "This of course comes as a huge shock, and William and I have been doing everything we can to process and manage this for our young family," she said, emphasizing the importance of having her husband's support during this challenging time.

Despite their ongoing feud, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex released a statement in support of Kate, stating, "We wish health and healing for Kate and the family, and hope they are able to do so privately and in peace."

As the royal family navigates this difficult period, the question of whether Kate's illness will be the catalyst for a reconciliation between the Sussexes and the Waleses remains unanswered. While hopes for a reunion persist, it appears that Meghan Markle's feelings of being wronged continue to be a significant obstacle in the path to healing the rift.
