Nicole Kidman has been very vocal about her “unconditional love” for daughter Isabella and son Connor, who she adopted with her first husband, Tom Cruise. However, a new report claimed it was not enough to convince her kids to go with her as she accepted one of the highest accolades in the film industry.
Most, if not all, fans are aware that Nicole became the 49th and first Australian to be conferred with the American Film Institute Life Achievement Award on April 28 at a star-studded gala in Hollywood, as per The Hollywood Reporter.
The wife of Keith Urban was all smiles when snapped alongside their children, Sunday and Faith. However, behind the scenes, New Idea Magazine reported Nicole was putting on a strong face to disguise her sadness about Bella and Connor’s decision not to grace the event despite being in the U.S.

Insiders earlier stated that Nicole had issued invitations to her two oldest children and hoped they would attend. However, the close-knit siblings continue to emphasize spending time with their father, Tom.
New Idea has got an exclusive snapshot of Tom, Bella, and Connor hanging out in Florida. According to sources, the trio's friendship is "as strong as ever". The cheerful family photo was taken in December 2023 at an ice hockey game in Tampa, Florida, close to Scientology's headquarters in Clearwater.
According to reports, Bella, 31, has been spending more time in Clearwater and has not been seen in the London home she shares with her husband Max Parker in several months.
It is claimed that Bella reside in the same apartment complex as Tom and Connor whenever she is in the U.S. The opulent structure was erected for high-ranking Scientology members who contribute significant sums to the church.
Although they were a no-show in Nicole’s big event, Bella liked the pre-event post of her mom on Instagram. The “Bombshell” star shared photos of her folks she could not wait to see that night.
The entertainment news outlet claimed that Bella may even have more contact with Nicole than Connor. Interestingly, she still goes by Kidman-Cruise on social media while Connor just uses Tom’s surname.
Nicole surprised everyone when she mentioned Tom, whom she met on the set of “Days of Thunder” in 1990, during her speech. “The Beguiled” actress referred Faith and Sunday as the “loves” of her life when talking about her experience learning from others during her career. She did not mention Bella and Connor by name.
