A conflict between Sofía Vergara and Julie Bowen, who were once co-stars on the popular sitcom "Modern Family," is still simmering below the surface, even five years after the show's conclusion, a new report claimed.

Although Julie, who is 54 years old, speaks well about Sofía, who is 52 years old, when she is asked publicly, sources suggested that she is secretly fuming over the Latina bombshell's continuous success in the entertainment industry.

“The amazing thing about Sofía and Julie is how much work they’ve been able to do together given how radically different their personalities are,” an unnamed insider told The National Enquirer.

“Julie is spontaneous, frazzled and free-spirited while Sofía is a cold, calculating long-term planner. It’s been frustrating for Julie to see Sofía put her keen instincts to work since Modern Family ended. She’s never been able to generate that same kind of heat for herself,” the anonymous informant went on.

Even though Julie attempted to downplay the entirety of the situation in 2016, while she was appearing on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” rumors of a conflict between the actresses have been circulating for years.

“Every night I get a call, or I get an email, that you are icy to Sofía Vergara because you are jealous of her fame. So, I emailed her last night, and we talk. Cause I’m like, ‘What should we say?’ And Sofía replied, ‘Just borrow my blouse!’” Julie told Ellen, as per ABC News.

On the other hand, tipsters are adamant that Julie is quite displeased with the attention and conversation about the Emmys that Sofía is currently receiving for her role as Griselda, the cocaine godmother, in the Netflix movie.

On the series that is currently available for streaming, Sofia not only plays the role of the eponymous Griselda Blanco but also works as an executive producer. On July 17, she made history by being the first Latina actor to be nominated for an Emmy Award in the category of Lead Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie.

Eric Newman of "Painkiller" and Andrés Baiz, reuniting the team that was responsible for "Narcos" and "Narcos: Mexico," has produced "Griselda," which consists of six episodes that are each one hour long. In addition to Andres, Sofia, and Luis Balaguer, Eric, Doug Miro, Ingrid Escajeda, and Carlo Bernard serve as co-creators of the series, and they are also executive producers of the show.

Latin World Entertainment is the executive producer of the show. In addition to Escajeda, Miro is also a co-showrunner for the series, as per TUDUM by Netflix.

“With Sofía poised to make a splash at the Emmys this year because of Griselda, I wonder how many of her old Modern Family co-stars will be there to cheer her on since she’s emerged as the biggest star of the entire cast,” the mole stated.

“Julie also wants her own post–Modern Family moment, but it’s been a real struggle for her. And Sofía’s not exactly doing anything to help!” the tattler went on.

Both Sofía Vergara and Julie Bowen have yet to comment on the on-going feud speculations. So, devoted supporters of the two “Modern Family” stars should take all these unverified reports with a huge grain of salt until everything is proven true and correct.
