Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez celebrated their second wedding anniversary on July 16 with a party. While the “Gone Girl” actor, who is 51 years old, was seen driving around Los Angeles, the “Let’s Get Loud” singer, who is 55 years old, spent the day in the Hamptons.
It's pretty much the standard procedure: It has been several months since the two have spent any meaningful amount of time in each other's company, and according to sources, a divorce is extremely likely to occur in the near future. In spite of this, judging by Jennifer's dazzling smiles, you would never have guessed that something was wrong.
“J. Lo wants the world to think she doesn’t have a care in the world, but the breakup is crushing her. She’s faking it for the cameras in New York. It’s almost like she’s in an ad campaign for a woman having the time of her life on vacation,” an unnamed insider told Life & Style Magazine.
Over the course of the previous few weeks, Jennifer has been photographed visiting to places in the Hamptons that are popular for shopping for plants, gowns, and handbags; going for bike rides and walks with friends; and even hanging out with her stepdaughter Violet Affleck, who is 18 years old.
“It’s all an illusion,” the informant claimed, adding that Ben, on the other hand, really is living his best life. “He just feels lighter and is definitely less stressed without her. But J. Lo is destroyed and doesn’t want to move on,” it furthered.
Meanwhile, TMZ has learned that Ben has purchased a new mansion in Los Angeles that is worth multiple millions of dollars, which very certainly signifies the breakup of his marriage to Jennifer.
The publication was informed by real estate sources that Ben has recently completed the escrow process for the Pacific Palisades mansion, which totaled $20.5 million. The breathtaking home features a total of five bedrooms, six bathrooms, a separate family room, a den, walk-in closets, a media room, a powder room, a guest house, and plenty of other amenities. It also includes breakfast and dining areas.
When Ben and Jennifer attempted to sell their marital house in Bev Hills in a stealthy manner back in June, they did not receive any interested buyers. As a result, they decided to place it on the market officially on July 11 for a price of $68 million.
Ben and Jennifer purchased the home for approximately $61 million in the previous year; therefore, taking into account the Los Angeles mansion tax, real estate commissions, and several million dollars in improvements, it will be difficult for them to break even.
While everything is going on, Jennifer is reportedly looking for a home of her own, as was initially reported by TMZ. Since the month of May, they have been living apart, and Ben has only lately removed all of his possessions from the Bev Hills residence while Jennifer was traveling in Europe.
It is not difficult to make the connection that this marriage, which has only been going on for two years, is going to end some time soon in the court of divorce. It is possible that they are attempting to deceive themselves by continuing to wear their wedding bands on occasion; but, it is rather obvious that the writing is on the wall at this point.
