Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have made the decision to end their marriage in a manner that is as amicable as possible. However, a new report claimed that the gloves are now off, as her crew has rallied behind her and pledged to grind him into the ground, regardless of whether or not she wants them to.
“When Ben first walked out, J. Lo’s circle was pretty divided, with some people praying they might be able to work it out and privately wondering if she was to blame for their issues,” an unnamed source told In Touch Weekly.
Three months after it was first revealed that Jen, 55, and Ben, 52, were heading toward a divorce, the Hollywood power couple made their official separation public. Ben is 52 years old and Jen is 55 years old.
“But the way he’s behaved since he suddenly decided to pull the plug has made it clear, at least to J. Lo’s family and friends, that he’s the problem,” the anonymous insider went on.
After reconciling 20 after their initial breakup in 2004, Ben and Jennifer do not have any children together; nevertheless, they have combined their families, and each brought children from prior partners into their family.
Ben has three children with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner: Violet, who is 18 years old, Fin, who is 15 years old, and Samuel, who is 12 years old. J. Lo, on the other hand, has twins Emme and Max, who are 16 years old, from her previous marriage to Marc Anthony.
“He’s made no effort to even try to work things out, regardless of how it affects not only J. Lo but also their kids. He swooped in and got his things while she was away, which really upset her and was so cowardly,” the undisclosed informant told the entertainment news outlet.
Ben and Jennifer went through a difficult period just two years after they had tied the knot, and they made public statements that indicated the end of their partnership. In July, they put their marital house, which was valued at $68 million, up for sale, as per BBC. On the day that the "Let's Get Loud" singer celebrated her birthday, the actor from "Gone Girl" closed on a new bachelor pad.
The couple also skipped their two-year anniversary celebrations in the same month, spending the ostensibly special day on opposite coasts: Ben in Los Angeles and Jennifer in the Hamptons. They did not even bother to communicate with one another.
“And then in recent weeks he’s added to her pain by totally ignoring her birthday and showing no respect on their anniversary, it’s almost like he’s a totally different person,” the tipster continued.
Following the slights that Ben has committed, the family of the "Marry Me" actress is not very pleased with the current circumstances. This is especially true for Jennifer's mother, Guadalupe Rodríguez, who had a close relationship with the “Good Will Hunting” star.
Now that the documentation has been submitted, the mole stressed that they are not going to tolerate any more disrespect from the other party.
“It’s got everybody, from her mom to her sisters to her managers, saying that he needs to be taught a serious lesson and shown he can’t just trample on people’s feelings and get away with it. At this point they’re all lining up to give him a piece of their mind, particularly Guadeloupe, who has been one of his biggest supporters, up until now. They’re telling J. Lo if she’s not willing to take the gloves off and start calling him out, then they’ll do it for her,” the tattler added.
