In spite of the fact that Carrie Underwood's career is thriving, a recent report asserted that her future appearance on "American Idol," her packed performance schedule, and her business endeavors could put a significant pressure on her marriage to Mike Fisher, which is about to reach its breaking point.

The vocalist, who is now 41 years old and rose to fame after winning "American Idol" in 2005, is claimed to have jumped at the chance to replace Katy Perry on the singing competition shows, despite the fact that she already had a lot on her plate.

“Their friends worry how Carrie and Mike are going to keep it together. They’ve had their share of ups and downs, and it’s only going to get more hectic,” an unnamed source told The National Enquirer.

In addition to her triumphant comeback to "American Idol," Carrie will be required to travel between the studio and the auditions for the show, continue her residency in Las Vegas, and take care of her fitness business.

“She’ll be away for long periods of time, so they’ll be living separate lives for the most part. Even if Mike’s able to join her when she’s in L.A. or Vegas, it’s going to be rough for them because she’ll be preoccupied and stressed out,” the anonymous insider stated.

Everything is likely to put their 14-year marriage to the test. Even when Carrie brings Mike along, it is highly unlikely that she will have a lot of time to spend alone with him. The former professional hockey player was believed to be feeling left out due to his wife's workaholic methods, despite the fact that it was earlier reported that Mike just joined Carrie for her very first concert in Hawaii.

“Mike has shown the patience of a saint. He’s a great dad and takes good care of their two young sons. Carrie knows she’s got a real winner in Mike. But it’s not an ideal situation, and people are wondering if their relationship will be able to take the added pressure without exploding,” the undisclosed informant told the entertainment news outlet.

Meanwhile, according to a source who spoke exclusively to Life & Style Magazine, Katy is overjoyed to be getting away from “American Idol” because she went through hell on the show. In addition, the tipster claimed that she is keeping a careful eye on the Season 4 winner, despite the fact that she does not feel any jealousy toward Carrie Underwood for taking over the judge position.

“It was the worst job Katy’s ever had, from the vile trolling, the vicious backbiting and gossip going on behind the scenes. Certain people didn’t want to work. It was frustrating because Katy is a professional and there’s nothing lazy about her, and she doesn’t like wasting time, especially hers. She certainly made a fortune, but she’s glad to be gone,” the mole told the tabloid.

In February, Katy, who is 39 years old, made the announcement that she would be retiring from her role as a judge on American Idol alongside Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie at the conclusion of the Season 22 in May.

The bubblegum pop and dance single "Woman's World" was Katy's first song since the year 2020, and it was released on July 11. It is the lead song for her upcoming seventh studio album, which is titled “143.”

The song, on the other hand, was met with negative reviews from critics. Additionally, it has been surrounded by controversy due to the fact that Katy worked with the producer and lyricist Dr. Luke, whom Kesha falsely claimed of sexually assaulting her.

In addition, a great number of fans were dissatisfied with the music video for "Woman's World," which appeared to be a parody of songs that advocate for the empowerment of women. The video was justified by Katy by stating that it was intended to be a "satire."

After Katy made the announcement that she would be leaving “American Idol,” the show announced that Carrie, who is 41 years old, would be taking over the role in Season 23.

“CARRIE! From #AmericanIdol hopeful, to global icon…to IDOL judge! Home-grown superstar @carrieunderwood will join us for season 8,” American Idol wrote on Instagram. As part of the announcement, a video was released in which Carrie reflected on the competition as well as everything that has transpired since she was the winner of the show in 2005.
