Jennifer Lopez disclosed that she nearly refrained from donning her provocative silver "revenge dress" during her divorce from Ben Affleck.

Jennifer, 55, confessed that she nearly refrained from wearing the risqué gown at the "Unstoppable" premiere on September 6, when she stunned in a metallic gown with gaping slits that were secured with black velvet bows.

“There was a discussion about whether I should or shouldn’t. And I was like, f–k it,” Jennifer told PEOPLE Magazine about the dress, adding that it “felt good” to wear the ensemble.

The "On the Floor" vocalist rounded out her daring ensemble with a metallic Judith Leiber clutch, Dolce & Gabbana platform heels, and Hassanzadeh jewelry.

In the interim, admirers also observed that Jennifer appeared to have removed her rib cage tattoo. In February 2023, she debuted her matching tattoos in an Instagram post, which she acquired with Ben, 52, and which is now absent.

Her tattoo was an arrow that traversed an infinity symbol composed of their names, as evidenced by the photograph. Ben's ink was vertically applied to his ribcage and depicted two crossed arrows with their first initials in the center.

After two years of marriage, Jennifer filed for divorce from the "Gone Girl" star, and she attended the Toronto International Film Festival premiere nearly three weeks later. She delayed filing the documents until the anniversary of their second wedding celebration despite having listed their date of separation as April 26.

She did not disclose whether or not they had a prenuptial agreement in place and cited "irreconcilable differences" as the basis for their divorce. Jennifer has been experiencing difficulties in the past few months, according to a tipster who disclosed this information to In Touch Weekly after she submitted the paperwork.

“J. Lo has been through a lot in her life, but this year has really tested how much pain she can withstand,” the unnamed source told the entertainment news outlet, adding that her split from Ben “devastated her.”

“She wanted to try to work on their marriage, but Ben checked out, and it was hopeless. When she realized that, she filed. Though she’s putting on a brave face in public, behind closed doors she’s been in tears. It’s the worst year of her life,” the anonymous insider went on.

In addition to the dissolution of her marriage, 2024 was also a challenging year for Jennifer in terms of her professional life. Jennifer self-financed and released three projects that delved into her life as an incurable romantic: an album titled "This Is Me … Now," a film titled "This Is Me … Now: A Love Story," and a documentary titled "The Greatest Love Story Never Told."

However, none of these endeavors were financially successful. Jennifer's professional successes persisted even after she canceled her "This Is Me… Live: The Greatest Hits" tour in May due to ticket sales struggles.

“I am completely heartsick and devastated about letting you down. Please know that I wouldn’t do this if I didn’t feel that it was absolutely necessary,” Jennifer shared.

In May, rumors of a split began to circulate, prompting many to believe that J.Lo delayed filing for divorce in order to avoid the timing of her canceled tour. Nevertheless, the undisclosed informant told the entertainment news outlet that "she was still clinging to her marriage."
