Angelina Jolie is once again the subject of criticism from admirers for her decision to conceal her thin frame with thick clothing in the face of extreme heat. However, the Academy Award-winning actress is resisting this time.
“Angelina swears she’s in perfectly good health,” an unnamed source told In Touch Weekly.
Angelina Jolie, 49, was photographed at the 81st Venice International Film Festival late last month. Despite the fact that it was still summer in Italy, she was spotted wearing an oversized taupe trench coat and long black boots.
“She’s sick of the endless scrutiny [when it comes to her body], hence the heavy clothing to cover up even in hot temperatures,” the anonymous insider told the entertainment news outlet.
According to the tipster, the actress, who is estimated to weigh approximately 98 pounds and stands at a height of 5 feet 7 inches, has caused concern among her close acquaintances. However, this is not a novel development.
“For the people in Angie’s world, there’s still an ongoing worry, but they know better now than to bring it up. She’s made it very clear this is her life, her body, and nobody’s to question her about it anymore — period,” the mole explained.
In fact, the actress from "Maleficent" maintains that she is in excellent health despite her substantial weight loss.
“She’s by no means malnourished, and decades of rumors pertaining to her being dangerously underweight or having some type of eating disorder are wide off the mark and extremely cruel,” the spy stated.
“She points out that she’s been thin since childhood. It’s something she’s perfectly comfortable with, and there’s no need for anyone to worry or panic,” it went on.
Nevertheless, the actress, who has been embroiled in a contentious relationship with her ex-husband, Brad Pitt, since their 2016 separation, has been experiencing significant stress in recent days, as per PEOPLE Magazine.
“Angelina is really spinning so many plates right now. She’s in the middle of this campaign behind the scenes to get an Oscar nomination for her work on Maria, plus she’s producing a bunch of new projects and fighting tooth and nail to beat Brad in court,” the tattler shared.
“As a result, she’s in meetings morning, noon and night. The moment she wakes up until her head hits the pillow she’s all systems go,” it went on.
Pax, the 20-year-old son of the "Wanted" actress, recently collided with the rear of a vehicle at an intersection in the Los Feliz neighborhood of Los Angeles. This incident has only served to exacerbate her predicament.
Pax was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, and witnesses reported that he was enduring hip pain and sustained a head injury before being transported to a nearby hospital by paramedics. In August, he was discharged from the hospital.
Angelina was observed for the first time since his accident on August 12, appearing gaunt and pale, which is likely due to the subsequent pandemonium.
“The stress of it all is clearly getting to her. She’s hardly sleeping or eating and is thinner than ever, it’s frightening and there are fears she could wind up putting her own health at risk in all this,” the naysayer explained.
