On August 28, Nicole Brydon Bloom disclosed that she was engaged to Justin Theroux by attending the Venice International Film Festival première of his most recent film, "Beetlejuice Beetlejuice," with a 4-carat emerald-cut diamond on her ring finger.

The platinum and yellow gold band of the custom ring is as brilliant as the couple's grins in Italy. However, Jennifer Aniston observed the closure of her past as Justin, 53, and Nicole, 30, embarked on a new chapter.

“The fact that they remained friends gave Jen hope that they could possibly reconcile someday. So it stung to hear that Justin has moved on once and for all and gotten engaged. A small part of her heart really did think that a reunion with Justin could happen,” an unnamed source told Life & Style Magazine.

Ultimately, the pair's initial romance was the result of a four-year friendship that commenced in 2007. Since their separation, Justin and Jen, 55, have maintained a close relationship through FaceTime, texting, and conversations. Justin stated in 2021 that the two "love each other" and "cherish" their close relationship.

“When he and Jen got married, she truly thought he was going to be her forever guy. They were a good match, and Jen hasn’t had the easiest time letting go of what they once had,” the anonymous insider told the entertainment news outlet.

Nicole's age was one of the most devastating aspects of her and Justin's engagement with Jen.

“Nicole is 23 years younger than Justin, and they’ll probably start a family. That hurts Jen. She thinks she and Justin would probably still be married today if they’d been able to have a child together themselves,” the undisclosed informant shared.

The "Friends" alum has disclosed that she was urgently attempting to conceive during her late 30s and 40s, which coincided with the time she and Justin were romantically involved, as per BBC.

“I was going through IVF, drinking Chinese teas, you name it,” Jennifer told Allure in 2022 of her infertility struggles. “I was throwing everything at it.”

In July, Jennifer denounced vice presidential candidate J.D. Vance for his disparaging remarks regarding women who are infertile. “Mr. Vance, I pray that your daughter is fortunate enough to bear children of her own one day,” the ex-wife of Brad Pitt pointedly wrote on Instagram.

During a September interview with The Times, Justin, Jen's ever-supportive ex, commended her for delivering her essay. “She is still very dear to me, so, of course, yeah, I feel protective. But she batted back criticism, as well she should,” he stated.

Jennifer is currently adjusting to a novel dynamic with Justin following his engagement to Nicole. “Even though they’re friends, Jen probably won’t be invited to the wedding,” the undisclosed informant said, adding that the “Morning Show” leading lady seemingly hasn’t met Nicole yet, despite the “Gilded Age” actress being linked to Justin since at least February 2023.

“Jen likely wouldn’t go to the wedding anyway. It would be too difficult for her to watch her ex remarry,” the tipster furthered.
