Johnny Depp has restored his dentition to their former state of pearly white perfection, which is only the beginning of a comprehensive body rebuilding process.

“He had no choice, his teeth were rotten to the bone and his breath reeked, and it was either veneers or risk some serious health problems, like infection and maybe even heart disease,” an unnamed source told In Touch Weekly.

For decades, Johnny, 61, was a leading man on the big screen and a serious heartthrob. However, the aging rocker appears to have had all of his poor decisions catch up to him in a flash, most notably his teeth. This was the case until recently.

The actor had previously faced criticism for his yellowed and misaligned teeth during his appearances at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival to promote his film Jeanne du Barry.

“It was a result of all those years of letting himself go,” the anonymous insider. “Now he’s done the dental work, and he can smile with confidence. His choppers gleam.”

The actor, who starred in "Pirates of the Caribbean," recently concluded a contentious divorce from his former wife, Amber Heard. The divorce was marked by a public defamation trial that exposed unpleasant aspects of the actor's personal life, such as allegations of abuse, alcoholism, and drug-fueled arguments.

The exposure had a significant impact on his reputation among Hollywood producers and shot callers, resulting in a lack of work. This was particularly distressing given that the hard-partying "pirate" was rumored to be spending over $30,000 per month on wine alone.

“People stopped calling,” he disclosed in April. “I’ve been sitting around.”

Johnny evaluated his assets and liabilities subsequent to his termination from the industry, which encompassed the majority of his erstwhile $600 million fortune and the trust of his former colleagues.

However, he continues to maintain relationships with peers such as Will Smith, who is also in the process of reestablishing his career following the Oscar's slap incident, and Al Pacino, who recently appeared in Johnny's directorial debut, Modì, which is about the Italian artist Amedeo Modiglian.

The once-shining star is now looking forward to a brighter future, as he may have saved his life and gained a new perspective.

“Johnny’s life has changed considerably in the two years since. He took a step back because he needed to regroup after everything that came out. Johnny never hid his hard-partying lifestyle, but the extent of his drinking and drug use made headlines around the world. Something had to give," the undisclosed informant said.

It appears that Johnny's molars were the first to undergo this process. The initial source stated that the legendary actor is currently focused on reestablishing his career, beginning with his appearance: “This is the start of better things ahead.”

“He’s become hyper aware of how certain parts of his body are falling apart and now he’s mapping out a health plan. He wants to build up muscle too and maybe some nip/tucks and why not? He’s finally going to do something about that pot belly, not to mention investing in some beauty rituals to polish his skin and hair and general appearance. People around him are saying it’s about time," the tipster said.
