The smoldering divorce battle between Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez is poised to explode into open antagonism, according to a new report, despite the fact that the separated couple has been making efforts to make peace with one another for the sake of their children on multiple occasions.
On September 14, J.Lo, who is 55 years old, and Ben, who is 52 years old, were seen having a heated dispute at the Beverly Hills Hotel, Heat UK reported. They were out with Samuel, who is 12 years old, Fin, who is 15 years old, his children, Max and Emme, who are her twins and are 16 years old.
Ben, who was acting out the role of Batman, remained as expressionless and chilly as he had been throughout the entire performance. The vocalist of "This Is Me... Now" appeared to be pushing away a tear.
“Jennifer would never make a scene in public, especially in front of their kids, but she has so much resentment. She’s made it plain she’ll never forgive Ben for being such a coldhearted jerk and giving up on the marriage in such a savage manner,” an unnamed source claimed.
Currently, it appears that Jennifer and Ben's uneasy ceasefire is reaching the point where it is about to break down.
“She agreed to play nice and try to wrap things up without any fireworks. But the tension is palpable, especially when Ben rolls his eyes and refuses to accept any responsibility for the marriage’s failure,” the anonymous insider suggested.

It was on August 20 that Jennifer officially filed to break the turbulent marriage that had lasted for two years. In July, he closed escrow on a French country-style mansion in Pacific Palisades that was valued at twenty million dollars, New York Daily News reported.
“Ben has made it crystal clear he’s not going back to J.Lo, and she’s fuming. They were bickering behind the scenes even before this recent meet-up, which went about as badly as everyone feared. The sooner the ink’s dry on the divorce papers, the better it’ll be for everyone,” the undisclosed informant stated.
