When his brother Travis Kelce was recently criticized for his play on the field, Jason Kelce decided to set the record straight.

Some think Travis' performance suffered because of his off-season antics, especially those involving his famous girlfriend Taylor Swift. But Jason wasted no time defending his brother and denying the accusations.

"He has always lived his life to the fullest. Optics are that he is all over the place," Jason added, acknowledging the public opinions being thrown at his brother this NFL season.

But he stressed that the tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs' love of athletics is still alive. "Football has always been the most important thing in Trav's life," Jason stated.

The previous setbacks haven't shaken Jason's faith in his brother's skills. "I know it's been a slow start for him. Trav is always gonna find a way to show up and show out. It's only a matter of time before he gets back,” he noted.

When former ESPN analyst Todd McShay commented on Travis' statistics this season, his performance was criticized, as per OK! Magazine.

"Every show I watch, every pregame show, halftime show, postgame show, weekday show, every broadcast I watch for the last few weeks, it’s like, are we not allowed to say that he’s out of shape? He’s been jet-setting around with the most famous person probably in the entire world," McShay said in a podcast appearance on September 23.

On the October 2 episode of their "New Heights" podcast, Travis discussed his struggles with staying in peak physical condition for his games and how he overcame them.

“The yellow boxes are dangerous,” he joked, referencing his love for LaMar’s Donuts in Kansas City, Mo. To keep from giving in, he confessed he had to fool himself.

"[I] just lie to myself so I don’t grab 10 doughnuts, run around the corner, and stuff my face like a little fat kid," Travis quipped.

The NFL legend added that overindulging in sweets often makes him sluggish, saying, “I just feel like a big blob. Am I bloated? Am I bloating?”

Unfortunately, this is not Travis's first encounter with body-shaming.

Many noticed his weight increase when he and Taylor Swift went on a quick Bahamian break in March as part of her Eras tour. In response to the criticism, a "dad bod" was the derogatory term used to describe him.

An unnamed source close to the situation told Life & Style Magazine that Taylor has decided to fully back her boyfriend's efforts to get back into shape.
