Jennifer Lopez's first ex-husband, Ojani Noa, has resurfaced with controversial claims regarding their short-lived marriage, linking their divorce to music mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs. Noa's remarks, made in social media posts and interviews, have reignited speculation about the tumultuous relationship between Lopez and Combs, as well as the circumstances surrounding her first marriage's abrupt end.

In an Instagram post, Noa distanced himself from Combs' notorious "freak-off" parties, while asserting that Lopez, who dated Combs from 1999 to 2001, had been a participant. He listed various celebrities he claimed were present at these parties and implied that Lopez was among them. "I'M NOT ON THE LIST," Noa wrote, adding, "To those people and media outlets asking if I ever went or participated in that Piece of Sh*t (DIDDY'S) Freak-Off Parties. No and No. Never. But my Ex-Wife (Jennifer Lopez) a.k.a (JLO) Did... Ask Her."

Noa's allegations come amid Combs' legal troubles, which include charges of sex trafficking, racketeering, and sexual assault. Noa's comments about the infamous parties are part of a broader series of grievances he has aired, which also include claims that Combs played a direct role in the collapse of his marriage to Lopez.

Speaking to Despierta America, Noa suggested that his divorce from Lopez in 1998 was in part due to Combs' growing influence in her life and career. "Part of that divorce was Diddy's fault," he said. Noa elaborated that as Lopez's career skyrocketed, particularly with the release of her debut album On the 6, her relationship with Combs began to take center stage. "When Sony came and paid her the millions she got, there was Puffy [Combs], who was going to be one of the producers of several tracks on the first album," Noa explained. "That's where the deception, the lies, the separation started."

Noa recounted how, while he was busy opening a restaurant in Los Angeles, Lopez was traveling frequently between Miami and New York to work on her music, a separation he claimed created the conditions for betrayal. "I would go to be with her when I could," he said. "There, in that distance, in that separation, was where the deception started."

Business Times cannot independently verify Noa's claims.

Lopez and Noa were married in February 1997, but their union lasted less than a year. After their divorce, Lopez's romantic involvement with Combs became public in 1999, and the couple dated for two years before parting ways. While Lopez and Combs' relationship had its share of headlines-most notably due to their involvement in a high-profile nightclub shooting-Noa's accusations now add a new layer of complexity to the narrative surrounding her first marriage.

In addition to implicating Combs in his marriage breakdown, Noa accused Lopez of sabotaging his career. "I would ask Jennifer, 'What did I do to you so that you have taken me to court, you have accused me, you have lied, you have created false things about me and you have called several companies to throw me out and different television networks not to give me work?'" Noa said during his interview with Despierta America. "Why, if I have not done anything to you? Let her tell the truth, let her tell everything that happened," he added.

Noa's public grievances against Lopez are not new. Over the years, he has spoken out about their marriage, claiming that Lopez's rise to fame strained their relationship. In a previous interview with Daily Mail, Noa reflected on how Lopez transformed from "Jen" into "J.Lo," describing her as a business empire unto herself, surrounded by people who, according to him, sought to profit from her success. "She had all these new people around her, all wanting to make money off her," Noa said. "I would call, and an assistant would say, 'Sorry, she's not available.'"

In his recent social media posts, Noa has further insinuated that federal investigators may have found explicit material involving Lopez during their investigation into Combs. He suggested that Lopez should be questioned about "SEX TAPES" and "734 Dildos And The BABY OIL," implying the existence of scandalous content. These claims, while inflammatory, remain unsubstantiated, and Lopez's representatives have not responded to Noa's latest allegations.

The resurfacing of these accusations comes at a time when Combs is facing significant legal battles. In September, the music mogul was indicted on federal charges including racketeering and sex trafficking, allegations that have sent shockwaves through the entertainment industry. Noa's comments appear to have been reignited in light of these developments, as he continues to link his personal history with Lopez to the broader scandal surrounding Combs.

For Lopez, who has since moved on to become a global superstar with multiple marriages and a high-profile reunion with actor Ben Affleck, Noa's accusations represent a recurring reminder of her past. While her career has flourished, Noa's continued public statements about their brief marriage serve as a counter-narrative to her carefully curated public image.
