Tom Cruise continues to suffer from droopy bags under his eyes despite his embrace of bizarre freezing rituals to try and stay youthful. A new report claimed this has left the self-obsessed superstar in a major tizzy.
“He hates the idea of going under the knife because he’s terrified that it could leave him looking like a caricature of himself, he’s seen so much bad plastic surgery in his time. Don’t forget he had that chipmunk cheek nightmare when he got talked into getting filler in his face and it took months to go down, he was humiliated," an unnamed source told In Touch Weekly.
“But he’s tried every possible non-invasive procedure to get rid of his under-eye bags and nothing has really helped," it went on.
A different source previously stated, "Biohacking is one of Tom's big passions," referencing the "Top Gun" actor's new cryotherapy habit. The aging A-lister, 62, has begun taking his anti-wrinkle crusade to dangerous new levels, which has alarmed those in his circle.
Tom has reportedly been immersing himself in cold or near-freezing water for a few minutes at a time to achieve youth. This practice is suspected of reducing inflammation, tightening skin, supporting fat loss, and combating chronic disease, as per Healthline.
According to the source, he is adamant that exposure to cold is the fountain of youth and believes that people live in the dark ages if they do not embrace the most recent methods for enhancing longevity.
He has been taking ice baths for several years, but he has now taken things to the next level by purchasing a cryotherapy chamber for his house. This allows him to physically freeze himself every day, which helps him speed up his metabolism and slow down the aging process. It is reportedly more beneficial to him than drinking ten cups of coffee first thing in the morning, and he is sure that it offers him an advantage.
Nevertheless, "Maverick's" ice man routine appears to fail to address the star's particularly sour insecurity: the deep bags under his eyes that threaten to disclose his actual age, regardless of how well he can teach the rest of his face.
It is a nightmare since his face is the source of his income, and the source continues to insist on this. In front of the camera, he needs to seem reasonable. Everyone is telling him to get things fixed and not to worry about it. Even though it is a relatively quick operation and almost everyone in this day and age performs it, Tom is still refusing to have it done.
His skin is beginning to sag a great deal more, and his limbs are starting to creak, as was previously divulged to In Touch Weekly by a different source. It is a scenario that is deteriorating, but he cannot acknowledge it.
Friends are concerned that the "Edge of Tomorrow" star may be placing himself in too much danger by not following the more conventional Hollywood anti-aging route, Men's Health reported. This time, the threat is not from his on-camera stunts but rather from his at-home icing.
However, the initial source asserted that he has yet to identify the solution, which may indicate that the actor from "Eyes Wide Shut" will undergo a procedure shortly.
Tom is desperately looking into different, less invasive methods to address the bags beneath his eyes. He spends a fortune on serums and topical treatments, and he is always trying out the latest technologies, but nothing has worked for him so far, and he is obsessed with finding a solution to his problem.
