Following her unexpected return to the United States, the actress is concerned that Tom is interested in reuniting with his daughter.
An adopted Anglophile named Tom Cruise, who is now 62 years old, has made the shocking choice to relocate back to the United States of America after spending five years living and filming “Mission: Impossible” in the United Kingdom. A stronger relationship with the actor's family is reportedly one of the things that the A-lister is thinking about.
According to a source who spoke to The Sun, Tom has been living in the United Kingdom for the past five years and is pleased in this country. Although there is little doubt that he will return at some point in the future when he is preparing for the next installment of the "Mission: Impossible" franchise, Tom is looking forward to going back to the United States so that he may be closer to his son Connor and his friends.
The change has been quite remarkable. What England has done for him and his general reputation has been phenomenal, and he couldn't be happier about it.
One person who is dreading the relocation is Tom's ex-wife, Katie Holmes, the mother of his daughter Suri.
"Those headlines about Tom coming back for his kid' sent Katie's heartbeat racing, of course, and even though they were referring to Connor, it's done very little to ease her mind," a friend of the actress, 45, told Woman's Day Australia.
"Katie's worst nightmare has always been Tom re-entering Suri's life once she was free from her mum's protection," it went on.
Because she is currently attending college and taking a class that Tom is paying for, Katie realizes that Suri is relatively easy to reach.
One of the most concerning aspects of the situation is that Katie has little control over it. The only thing she can do is have faith that her relationship with Suri is strong enough to convince her to reveal any contact she may have with her father.
As the news came out last week, Katie contacted her daughter, who is 18 years old and currently attending Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, to study fashion. However, she spends the break from school with her mother in New York. Katie was in a state of panic, as per The New York Post.
The adolescent was observed strolling around the streets while conversing with a buddy, a sight that undoubtedly delighted her "extremely protective" mother.
The rest of the world may have thought that Suri had only returned home to express her support for Katie as she starred in her new Broadway show, Our Town. However, Suri and Katie are both aware that she was also there to reassure her mother that she is secure and not in the hands of Scientology.
Since breaking up with Tom in 2012, Katie has done everything she can to protect Suri from the controversial church and ensure that her childhood is as normal as possible. However, she will never accept the fact that she is constantly worried.
Considering that Katie is finally in a position where she can prioritize herself, the timing of Tom's homecoming could not have been more unfortunate for her.
It's hard for Katie to believe. Exactly as Suri is about to begin concentrating on herself, Tom decides that it is time to relocate back to the United States. This decision comes just a few short months after Suri enrolls in college.
Katie's escape from Scientology has taught her that she must always be on alert and that there is no such thing as a coincidence. This is the single most important thing she has learned from her experience. Obtaining the favor of an adult Suri voluntarily would be the pinnacle of success for Tom and his practice of religion.
